Kidd was also a very underrated defender and never really developed an outside shot until late into his career. Zo is still finding his rhythm, but I think his shot isn't as broken as many people feel. He's not a natural shooter, but he has a shot. He's adjusting.
If Lonzo’s shooting is in his head, someone get a sports psychologist in here now, because it’s hurting us now. The entire team can’t shoot, but Zo REALLY can’t shoot.
He needs work on shooting but nearing HoF level on other facets of the game. We just need more reliable shooters.
Updated shooting splits through 12 games: 29.2% FG (avg 12.0 attempts per) 22% 3PT (avg 4.9 attempts per) 50% FT (avg 1.7 attempts per) 35% TS% Stolen from LG
Yeah, this is where I'm at the past few games. I don't think anyone here is suggesting he's a bust. I agree that he'll be fine. The fact of the matter is that his horrific shooting is hurting us right now. It needs to be fixed sooner than later.
Hart REALLY CAN'T shoot. Not sure how long it's been but I think he hasn't made a field goal in like three or four games. And he's a shooting guard. Worse than Lonzo.
He almost had a freaking triple double, who cares about percentages the guy is a rookie, he'll be fine
yeah it's not just lonzo. this team has absolutely no one who can shoot and it's been that way for a a while now. lou and swaggy were the only guys on the team the past 3-4 seasons who could actually shoot the 3 regularly
Lonzo takes 12 FGA per game whereas Hart takes 2.5 FGA per game. Yes, it's a team issue, but Lonzo contributes 5 times more to the issue than Hart. Aren't we trying to win games? Then we should identify the problem and try to fix it. Ignoring his shooting means ignoring the entire team's shooting and saying "we'll be fine."
Obviously have to address it and fix it. If we were too short, none of us would say, "we'll be fine." if we were too old, none of us would say it either. But shooting is fixable. Maybe the easiest. That's why I feel we'll be fine. But yeah, I want shooters and I want the guys we have, and keep, to get a lot better.
