Kuz will be good no matter the line-up being used. Yes, he's very effective with Lonzo and the starters. But I still definitely see why Luke put Nance in the starting lineup and too Nance's credit was begining to show more offense in the two game prior to his injury. If we keep winning games and Kuz continues to play well I think Luke will keep Kuz will the starters but I can understand if we loose some ground defensively when Larry gets back that he goes back to him. Its a long time from now (roughly a month) so we'll have plenty of time to see how this works long term with Kuz. I still think overall with this year and our improvement Luke deserves more praise than what he's gotten. It's the culture and emphasis defensively that he has instilled in our players who have bought in. Players can work and want to improve all they want but if they don't have a system that they believe in offensively or defensively it doesn't matter. Our players have clearly bought in.
You're not grumbling much about anything these days and the season's underway. Lots to talk about. Get your *** in here more often for the "playoff push". You got game.
No idea. Saw him yelling at the bench (I'm assuming at the coaches). I can't defend Luke when he's got Bogut, Clarkson and Brewer playing in the 1st quarter and our deficit is growing to double digits. On the other side is Julius, who has been our best player this year. I'm not even a big fan of his, but he's brought it, despite Luke messing with him and his playing time.
randle was already getting yelled at when he wiffed on a steal attempt on that other white guy n led to a big dunk. randle seems to have very short leash
Screw Walton. Yeah I said it. Nothing makes me angrier than losing to Boston and I put a big part of tonight's loss on him. WTH is up with his treatment of Randle? I don't get what's going on at all. But it's infuriating.
One of the biggest Luke supporters here but i think it's time to officialy ask for the "garbage sign". Anyone here kind enough to make one?
Luke’s still growing as a coach but overall he’s not doing a bad job with a limited roster. He still rolls out head scratching line ups but I’m not ready to turn on him. I also think it’s pretty clear the front office and their plans are influencing his moves on the court since they came onboard last season.
emplay became too institutionalized in the last 2 - 3 years to do it. I guess Lakers Film Room (GT from LG?) wouldn't do this either, as he only started getting access to practices and stuff.
Luke is not a bad coach. He's got 2 rookies starting and 4 new players on the roster starting. That's asking a lot. Not the recipe for success. But he's got them playing defense and pretty good for the most part. No, I don't get the Randle hate and I don't understand Bogut playing in the 1st quarter when it was obvious he was in over his head. Is Luke an elite coach? No. But I think he can be good enough as he grows with the team. Main thing is to play your best players and don't get cute with the substitutions.
i'd be pissed if I was Randle. They asked him to get his conditioning right he did it, they asked him to come off the bench and embrace it, he did it yet Luke still has Bogut and Brewer out there getting minutes over him. Unreal.
I'd like to sign everything John said in this post. I still believe in Luke, but yes - he has to grow ith the team and tighten up those rotations. We actually had a chance to win that game last night.
