Yeah, but I thought that should’ve been a block. Ticky tack calls... he’s got to be smarter about that.

    still just 17 minutes

that keeps up, and he is soooo gone at the deadline. He won't stick around for that, and we don't need to lose him for nothing.

The way he is playing has been so important to us winning lately. He should get some more minutes. But Kuz has been earning his minutes too. I don't know, we are clicking.

Doing pretty well in that Draymond Greene small ball center roll for us now on both sides of the ball. Doesn't look the same because he doesn't shoot threes well but he's getting the buckets down low and muscling bigger centers on defense, passing well, doing some rim protecting, setting better screens and playing a lot smarter. Proving that some of us should never speak in such absolutes with the lid on young players careers that are willing to work hard.

We've been winning with team play where different players shine on a given night, so I'm ok with Randle's minutes right now.

I love him in his role off the bench right now. Able to remain focused in the minutes he gets, give all out energy on both sides of the court, dominates other teams backup bigs. I wouldn’t change a thing unless we start stuggling again, but we’ve been in every game we’ve played except the opener.

I would increase his minutes with Larry out, but like others have said it's working. This minute restriction protects us, it protects his value, and it keeps him focused for the burst. That blocked dunk was tremendous. Could any of us imagine him doing that last year or the year before?

I'm with sirron though, until he starts getting bigger minutes I don't see how he'll be sticking around long-term. He deserves more minutes and a bigger shot.

I think he should definitely get some minutes at the PF slot instead of always having to play center. Juggle the minutes to make it happen. Put him in sometimes with Kuz at SF and cut down Brewer .... no big deal. Low risk high reward and Julius a happier guy even. He's in shape to play more minutes at this pace because of how he dedicated his whole summer.

Agreed, plus we are playing Kuz so many minutes lately with Larry out (I think it was close to 40 each of the last two games) I am worried that we will burn him out seeing as he is a rookie. Randle is more than ready to play more minutes. I think he's averaging less than 20 ppg which makes no sense given the shape he's in and his age, not to mention it's a contract year. Play him some at PF please.

Protecting his value is all that matters. We're not keeping him, so best case scenario is getting something in return, or using him to facilitate a Deng offload.

Here's a what if to that. What if he really is playing at small ball center and PF at say 85% the effectiveness by the deadline of Draymond Greene? And don't effing laugh anyone. Not from 3 point territory (unlikely) but more down low around the basket and P&R and cutting and driving, for the offense, plus the D and rebounding. 85% only. Maybe higher. That's not far fetched from what we're seeing this year. Do you not do everything you can at his young, not even "prime" age to try to keep him for a good deal? IF PG is coming, keep BroLo and best of the rest and Julius performing like a solid D. Greene lite?

Waits with flame suit on. Would that roster as it matures quickly possibly be better than old man LBJ coming in and just eating cap space and a big bite out of our roster of talented young players as well. You've got a huge "in his prime" star already with PG plus our no doubt home grown stars to pull players in the future. And BroLo anchoring the 5 with great backup there.

Not much fun when it's your guy being used as capbait, is it?

You know .... if DLO could play good D and be a two way player who's not streaky as hell with his offense, which he clearly is not that 2 way player .... I might be a little more open to your pain about Russell.

With the latest news on Us working to unload Deng, I think guys need to get a lot less attached to Julius.

You may be right but I think it's a mistake certainly to do it now when he is starting to blossom in a great Green like roll for him. Could be effective obviously at the 4 as well. I had made my peace with it until it started to come together with him.

I don’t think a move is imminent but I do think it will happen. Randle may be able to save his spot on the team with continued consistent play but I think it’s going to be tough
