If by some miracle it was about to go down, Jesus probably comes down and blocks that trade.

That's what you get Luol for coming in so ******* FAT last year and not spending the time in the weight room and on your own to ever get in shape. Your own fault. But screwed us royally. Thanks for that.

I looked for him on the bench a few times yesterday. I saw Zu and Thomas in suits but never did see Deng. I wonder if he isn’t even with the team.

If he is with the team, it can't possibly be anything more than physically since he has been mentally gone before the ink dried on his contract.

dude is getting stretched, we can try to be positive and hope some moron gm would take him even with multiple 1st but he's just that useless that it's "cheaper" to just stretch waive him. At the rate this team obtains wins, I highly doubt we pickup 2max anyways, just use his dengs stretched salary cap on a more capable vet backup next yr and hope we land 1 max guy.

No s*** (I agree). We are kind of stocked up on enough really promising young talent for the next couple of years. Give a lightly protected first and a couple 2nds plus other than prime players. We do have intriguing other talent. Hart. Bryant. Clarkson if you must. Zubac.

At the risk of pissing off the DLO fans still here, Ingram, Kuzma and Randle all have waaay more upside to what we are doing here in L.A. now than what Russell was going to give us. A big reason was his mediocre D and focus along with the issues that D-FishMan cannot reveal but we have no reason to believe he is bringing it up just to look like an insider here. And with DLO's popularity "allegedly" not being great in the locker room.

What was the Timberwolves or Washington’s (???) original offer to Deng before we signed him. It was for 3 years and what, 14 million a year? I’d try to play hardball with him. If he really want out, I would pay him through the end of the year and then ask him to take the remaining difference between what the contract with us vs the other team as a buyout (stretch) number. Of course he wouldn’t like it but he needs to give up something and that something is a lot of money. Otherwise the guy can go freeze in Siberia as far as I’m concerned.

To trade that contract, we'd have to part with Julius and Clarkson as part of the package. That's basically our bench. Not sure when Magic and Pelinka want to part with Julius. It'll be interesting and they definitely have their work cut out for them.

Do 1st round draft picks (1) and maybe multiple 2nds for a couple of years plus quality young players/prospects like Clarkson, Zubac, Hart and Bryant not have some pretty good value here?
