He is not a PG. That’s my gripe. And he is put in to be one. He doesn’t get everyone going and his assists are just as empty as they were 3 years ago. Watch our offense when JC replaces Lonzo. There is a reason Luke put Penis in.
Well that's not on Clarkson, if we still need the scoring. You want Penis in consistently who can't score usually, though he picked up 10 tonight? Jordan is being tasked in these instances with trying to be a score first type of PG, not Lonzo for crissakes. Isn't this all pretty obvious? I thought we wanted no more of Ennis and Caruso for now, even if they haven't been horrible at all?
BALLERRRRRRRRR ALERT I thought I'd be most excited to watch Lonzo play this year...turns out I'm most excited for KUZZZZZZZZZ
If we're going to make the playoffs, teams like the Nets are the teams we should be concerned about. Worrying about what to do to San Antonio or Golden State comes after we've established ourselves as a playoff team. There's not enough practice time during the NBA season to do defense and offense. So Luke chooses to focus on defense and pace during practice sessions and hopes players will adjust their offense on the fly as the season goes forward. Hopefully, it's enough to squeak into the 8th or 7th seeds, and attract FA's in 2018.
Almost averaging 20 ppg last two. Ata a boy Kuz. We should nick name him Kush.. Cause boy is smokin out there .. .. ...
I'm with rev in that we saw basically the exact reason Larry was starting. Mus is tremendous but he's not nearly the defender that Larry is. That's okay obviously because his offense was able to carry him through, but he's still got a lot of learning to do. Like I said with Lonzo: he's got the God given talent and that's what you take from this season.
Kuzma one of only three rookies with 20/10 games this season. The other two? Ben Simmons & his teammate Lonzo Ball.
Oh, he is going to the bench again alright... Luke is that dense. 4 - 6 weeks time, unless we go on like 12 - 0 streak or something.
I sure hope not; while Larry is a very nice piece, he can't shoot. The opposition is going to scout us; and what they could do to us if Larry is starting is congest the paint, and say "beat us with your outside shooting.' Ball hasn't started out very good from distance, Ingram' s shot (while looking improved), is still a work in progress, Nance is bricking everything of 20 ft', etc. You see the issues... Insert Kuzma: shooting, cutting, spotting up, play-making, coming off screens, and now we have a lot more diversity while being a more difficult matchup. Luke can also start opening up the playbook a lot more... Defensive, might be a challenge, but I'll live with it. As long as he's not a net negative, we're fine.
