Hopefully. I'd bet $5 it's Deng though. At first at least.

Well, can't say I'm surprised at Larry's annual injury #1.

Good news is, we can now play an actual NBA starter in Randle or KUz

This is a freak type injury but the kind that often happens to hustle players like Larry. I adored his energy right until the break.

I'm guessing Kuzma gets the start in his place.

This sucks. Our PF rotation was our biggest strength. I'm sure Kuz and Jules are ready to step it up, and either can start, but the bigger concern is that we need to rely heavily on Bogut and Zu as our backup C so no more small ball which was working so well.

Maybe it's time to release the Dung.

i know i'll get killed for it, but i'd consider starting deng and seeing how it looks. it maintains the continuity of the rest of the rotation. luke could just scale back deng's minutes (relative to larry's) and scale up randle and kuz a bit.

It's not a terrible idea, I just hate Deng and I don't know that he'll do the dirty work that Larry did. Also part of what helped make Larry effective was his ability to stretch things vertically and Deng certainly doesn't have that. I guess you could play him 10 minutes or so and then scale up Kuzma/Randle's minutes off the bench.

The experiment failed miserably in the first game though. It'd take guts to make that call.

I'm sure Luol has been busting his a** on his conditioning just in case something like this was to happen.

I’d start Randle. I wanna see what he and Brook look like together. They shouldn’t get in each other’s way because their styles are so contrasting. Keep Kuzma coming off the bench to pour in 15-20 points per game.

Kuz or Randle. I don't care. I just want scoring in the starting lineup.

Happy to be wrong but my bet is on this guy in the starting lineup tonight who's ready to adapt to Luke's fast pace style of play .....

I think this is the time to start Randle. We need to extend his minutes a bit to see if the energy he has been playing with is sustainable for longer than 15-20 minutes a game. We need to make a really expensive decision this offseason on Randle. He's gonna get paid by someone. We can't pay him what he'll likely get on the open market to be a 15-20 minute energy guy off the bench. This should serve as an opportunity to see whether or not he can be a 25-30 minute per game player. This Nance injury could actually be the best thing that happens to us.
