Totally don’t understand Luke’s handling of JR. I was at the game tonight and my son and I were baffled. Plus, I think Luke waited too long at the end to sub in JR. the game kinda got away...

Nance posting up is a disaster.

The other thing is that Kuzma makes mistakes and is given a long leash but then Randle makes one mistake and Luke is all over him. Sometimes the camera doesn’t catch the interaction but I was right there and saw it. So weird!

Yes... JC and Luke too. JC deserved it though because he tries to force stuff, which leads to dumb mistakes. He got yanked after one particularly bad stretch.

I caught just the last part... my son noticed and pointed it out. It seemed heated.

With the Luke-JC “discussion”, Luke followed him all the way down to the end of the bench chewing him out. JC threw his arms up in exasperated with the whole thing.

Personally I think it's good to see some passion and fire on the team. Lukes a player's coach and there won't be long lasting hard feelings. People saying this is bad and what not, pffft. Be glad it's a team that puts stuff out on the table as opposed to not.

Why do you think Luke got heated with BI? Was it out of left field or Luke expects more from BI whose been given the keys as the man on the team.

Randle is a goner since Magic arrived .. simple as that

    No reason he shouldn't play 32-35 mins a game , he's currently at 19...

Yeah. If we don’t trade him and he gets lousy offers because we screwed him, I’d be embarrassed to be a Lakers fan.

On some level I agree with starting him and some of us have been on that train. On the other hand, the chemistry he's developing with Kuzma, Hart, and Clarkson is legitimate. The bench unit is pretty fun to watch when they start rolling. Putting Julius in the starting lineup may help the starters, but it'll hurt the bench quite a bit.

The real issue is Luke f***ing with him. Julius is working harder than just about anybody on the team right now but he's got the shortest leash. In one of Luke's post game or post practice interviews Luke said it was good to see Julius and Nance happy for each other because Julius had "been pissy with him". Well what the hell do you expect? You fail to reward hard work and give minutes to people who don't deserve it. I'd be pissed too if I were Julius.

And hearing that Luke is yelling at these guys now coming off the floor to me is a horrible sign. Someone with the reputation of a "player's coach" shouldn't be putting his team in embarrassing situations publicly when he's far from doing a good job. The problem is if Julius or Jordan or Brandon talk back to him when Luke is yelling it becomes a news story even if the kid is right. Luke shouldn't be putting them in that position.

I'm fairly sure Jules and Kuz will find a chemistry with Ball in a heartbet. Move Nance and BI to the bench and see what happens.

I'll give Luke a few more games before I'm firmly on the fire Luke train. Give Julius more minutes.

Makes you wonder if there is something to that Randle playing against 2nd unit talent thing. Again, as long as he's finishing the game as small ball 5 with Zo, KCP/Hart, BI, Kuz...I'm not of the belief that he has to start games. He deserves more minutes though, but then those eye-popping numbers will certainly be effected as a result.

Fine, bring him of the bench. But under 20mins. a game? That's a freakin joke. Luke better pulls his head out of his a** soon.

He's the closest thing to the 2nd creator the 1st unit badly needs ...

    He's better at the C position ( if you can't shoot in today's NBA you're a 5 , that's the rule) .

I'd start both Kuzma and Randle ... Let Lopez kill the opponent backup bigs
