Tell your BFF OX that. Last thoughts of his on that were .... "unimportant" ..... the camaraderie and chemistry on a squad. Maybe has changed view on that more lately now that season is underway? Just bringing up for a point that we seem to be in a much better place now after the Washington game.

..... and with the realization there will be no more minutes in the rotation for Ennis/Caruso.

..... who are nice people in their own right [IMG] .... but maybe a couple years of improvement away from being better all around options than Clarkson at this point for this season's needs.

Ox has had enough of my big mouth lol.
From what i recall and i backed him a bit on it...he was tired from all the off season hype/talk. Right now at .500? I think were all riding the wave no matter how serious or old school some of us are/can be at times.

I would agree. That's how quickly "the sky is falling" can be turned on its head by just a couple wins and tangible, positive signs from the team and some of its key players.

Disappointed? You just said Kidd is a first ballot HOF and he is. One of the 10 greatest PG’s ever. Maybe top 5. If Lonzo even comes close to that we should all be thrilled.

Nope and his three ball is just awful. No one even attempts to guard him.

Interestingly, before the game started he was messing around with a different release. My son noticed it first and pointed it out to me. He was dipping and then having a nice compact fluid release. No weird corkscrew. I wonder if he is slowly working on it?

You're describing Kidd as Lonzo's ceiling, and I think Kidd is his floor. Different expectations.

Was his right arm and release of the ball staying on the right side of his body or at least in front of him without doing the crossover to left side of his neck? What does just "he was dipping" refer to?

I disagree. I thought Lonzo played pretty well once again aside from shooting.

He made plays, found his teammates, got in the pass lanes once again, and another good job on the boards.

He just has to shoot better.

So the ball stayed in front of him with a small downward “dipping” motion that you see in correct shooting mechanics and he came straight up with a nice fluid release. It looked great and my son counted like 20 shots in a row that he made that way. Maximum distance was probably 15 feet. But, that’s how you do it.... just keep building until you can get further and further away from the basket while holding good form.

My son and I are hypersensitive to this because I’ve been working with my boy to get further out without sacrificing form. He just turned 12, is 5’8” and has a very natural shot. He is a one motion shooter and we are working to get him out to the three point range probably by the end of the year.

So, my son noticed it right away during warmups. I hope he corrects it because he is the complete package at that point. Jason Kidd made adjustments later in his career and became a bona fide threat beyond the arc.

Thanks. Surprising to me to hear that because it seems like it would be so hard after all these years to correct now and still be confident enough to shoot it in the NBA. Maybe he's taking it real slow or will use in closer ranges at times, like going to his right and pulling up quickly.

What was going through LaVar's brain to allow that habit and horrible shooting motion to take hold at a young age?

You know what’s funny is that Lonzo’s corkscrew windup is really noticeable but KD does a little bit of that and so does Ingram and longer jumpers. It’s not as noticeable but like I said I’ve been looking at shooting mechanics for 6 months now and frequently go on YouTube to see how the pros shoot. LOL!!!

Those are ugly shooting numbers but he's going to figure it out. He's getting too many wide open shots for those to not finally go in.

    I'm not worried.
