I do not root for anyone to fail. Randle fails all by himself without me saying I need him to fail. He is a mental midget who destroys everything and anything when it comes to TEAM basketball. Maybe he can go join Cube's 3 on 3 league, 2 less players he has to deal with on the court.

he'd murder a 3-on-3 league. just death to all. he'd have been a superstar in 1995. the game has changed in ways that affect a randle-type player, though. you have to find ways to make the game easier for yourself and your teammates. he just doesn't do that. seems like a hard-working guy, and he's got a ton of natural gifts; he's just not a basketball player. that doesn't mean there aren't places for him in the league, of course.

Interested to see if he gets playing time tonight, tends to respond/play well against Cousins.

He's a bench player. Won't see time against Cousins.

I think Dallas would take on a dump if it meant getting Randle. They badly need a 4 as Dirk is on the brink of retirement. Where are they going to get that 4 from? or do they plan on playing Harrison Barnes at the 4 for the foreseeable future?

Indy rejected Randle for PG13. I doubt they'll reject him in a Cory Joseph swap. I think this is the most realistic deal on the table.

PHX I think would take Randle but maybe not Deng attached with him. Then again, I think it's somewhat feasible if they're trading Bledsoe. Can get a nice young player for him much like BKN did with D-Lo/Mozgov.

Game changer tonight, even in a loss. All over the place making defensive plays.

Outstanding energy from Randle tonight. He was huge in our comeback. Showed that he can play small ball 5.

Give credit, where credits due. Randle had a great game tonight. He took the challenge of guarding Boggie and did a wonderful job. Lots of energy. He and JC had it going. Play like this and Luke will have to put you back in the starting lineup.

I don’t think Luke should have put him on Cousins, it’s unfair and could have gone terribly. But, Randle played some crazy defense on him, and I’m glad from one weak call that the refs allowed it. Not trying to give backhanded compliments, but if he’d come out with this attitude and energy before now he probably is back starting already. But, maybe Luke does want him on the bench BECAUSE he fits with that unit, I dunno. JC, Kuzma, and Randle looked good.

Hard to bounce back when you had monsters like Boogie and AD staring back at you. More than held his own and was part of the unit that brought us back. Put the pouting behind him and shook off that Biff posterization (that kind of put him in a shell)....and it would have been easy to go hide with Cuz and AD coming into the building. Nice bounce back, Jules.

Luke needs to figure this thing out. The starters flat out suck together. No chemistry. They put us in a gigantic hole in most situations any time in the game. It isn't working. I don't know if Randle needs to start or Kuz . . . . That's for the coach to figure out. But those guys who have talent need to play the most. Nance isn't in that mix. He should see the least minutes of those three. And he shouldn't be in the starting lineup because the offense is atrocious with him out there. He should be scrapping off the bench most of the time. He's simply too limited in ability to be a starter.

Julius should start because he can create shots for others and the 1st unit badly needs it.

Luke is garbage , not seeing obvious things like this one

Well said. I don't see the point of starting Nance. The bench has enough scoring with Clarkson and either Kuz/Randle. What we need from the starting unit is scoring and playmaking at the PF position. I like both Kuzma and Randle, but we also need more size (rebounding, interior D) so I prefer Randle by a small margin.

At a certain point, it’s not the coaches fault that our starters keep getting blown out game after game, year after year after year.

The truth is we don’t have enough above average starters on this team to deal with other teams starting units. We just don’t have the talent. Our young players are wildly inconsistent and level out at, above bench players but below starting level talent.

Happy for Jules, still want him in a Lakers uni. It will make me sad if another young player has to go because of one of Mitch's brain farts :(

If you are referring to us sending out Julius to entice someone to take Deng, Deng was not a brain fart. Deng was a slimy, bloody brain shart.

To be fair he played like this a bit in the preseason. Not quite as frantic, but he was arguably our best player in preseason and it amounted to a short leash and a bench role. I don't mind him being upset. I only mind him bringing that to the game like he did in the first two. He's a hot head and he's stubborn as all hell. Being benched is never going to be fun, but he shouldn't have let it affect his professionalism.

As for last night, I thought he showed some early signs of pouting again, but he ended up finding a rhythm and really making things work down the stretch. I think he's the kind of guy who should change the energy of the game, but he clearly fed off of the great energy out of KCP, Jordan, and Hart. He did a great job down the stretch in a job that he really isn't the best suited for.

The way to really clinch a starting role? Knock down jumpers. If he can knock down outside shots, he'll push Nance to the bench no question. The team and system really need a 4 who can shoot.

maybe they should stop trying to have Julius "lead" the 2nd unit and find his niche with the starters. Through preseason and again last night, he embraced the defensive challenge. I also see a guy who is trying to figure out how to be effective without the ball and find his spots, but he needs more time and chemistry with Lonzo.

his lethargic start had me concerned, but it was nice to see him be the bruiser that we needed to get back into this game last night. Someone tell Luke to get this guy or Kuz in the starting lineup please.
