Looks really good to start the season and he's doing his job which is score and be that 6th man. I think when KCP is back, we may see Clarkson play some back up PG minutes. Caruso/Ennis are just not good enough.
One has bought in, the other hasn't quite yet. JC probably realizes IG models are only in LA so he's trying his hardest not to get shipped out of here.
Yep. And being willing so early in the season to trade him for some 2nd round pick is silly. If the shoe fits.
Yeah. he also realizes that Warwick on Wednesday nights only happen in LA... Ditto on IG models. Lulz
Clarkson is really going for the sixth man of the year award. Sometimes it seems like he’s the only one who can score. He still tries to do a little too much but he’s passing better and trying to pick up his defense. Kudos.
I’m shocked at this. I’ve criticized him as much as anyone, but he’s been our best scorer, and he’s making better plays than our backup PGs. If he keeps it up he either justifies his contact, or ups his trade value, win-win.
clarkson is who he is: a legit nba rotation guard, worthy of 25-30mpg. he's not going to be a star, but he's not paid like one, either. i think he's won the backup pg role by default, which is ok by me, as it opens up minutes for hart and brewer to play in ideal situations.
Hart keeps playing like that, and I think you are right. They will make space for him, and JC will end up backing up point part of the time. Looks like he's up for the task too.
Another good point. I will take the inevitable occasional bad turnovers by JC at PG, in exchange for his scoring and playmaking, and if it allows Hart to get time. Like what I’m seeing from Hart so far, and Brewer also needs to get in for defense and energy sometimes.
JC is the only player who has lived up to expectations or exceeded them thus far. 6th man role? He's killing it!!
Give ALL of Ennis/Caruso minutes to Clarkson/Hart. Let Jordan play some scoring the ball type point guarding with Hart at the 2 when Lonzo and KCP are out. Jordan really has become a better player for solid offense and better on defense and Hart looks like a solid player on D and smart on offense as well.
Again I'm shocked at how much I enjoyed his game last night. He was so... focused. I don't know what happened out there, but I haven't seen him looking so locked in since his rookie year. Great to see. Like @abeer3 said: he's the backup PG by default right now and if he continues to move the ball that's not a bad place to have him. I don't expect him to be nearly that effective every game, but it's better than Caruso or Ennis who are fringe NBA players.
