We're running curl plays for KCP, why not do the same with Ingram. He'll look a lot better than forcing him to ISO everytime.

I think we'll get there soon enough. We have a solid coaching staff, but it will take awhile to put things together. I see a rough start to the season, but with improvement every month as long as guys stay healthy. With the depth we have, hopefully that is possible.

As a rule of thumb for all our players, not just Ingram, they ALL need to be constantly moving, making cuts and rolling off of screens if Ball has the ball in his hands.

It should be the foundation of our half court offense.

Man, you must have the ability to recover from the most tragic events. I wish I could be like that. Reality is the Lakers are going to hit reality so fast this year, it will be scary.

Ingram's quickest route to an allstar is to become a ferocious defender, with good shooting/slashing ability. Not this ISO BS. Follow what Kawhi did. Make a name for yourself as a defender first.

Yep. This has me worried. I don't see much improvement from Ingram and I think my estimates of 12/6/4 on 42% shooting from Ingram this year might have been too generous.

He's a number 2 pick that is 20 years old.
Kuzma is 22 already, and we had no idea what we were getting. BI in two years is also a different player.

BUT, he works like an animal, is serious about his craft, and so he will get there. It definitely creates a conflict having two guys at the same position, and neither can handle PF.

It's also the position we were hoping to address in FA with PG. The conflict on who to play won't be getting any easier unfortunately.

^Sure, he is all of the above, but should we place him in a starting role when there is clearly a better option and much better fit next to Lonzo. It's only been 3 preseason games, but Kuzma is one of the better young prospects that we have and helps makes us a more competitive team when he's out there...

Dear God. Ingram has played 2 pre-season games in his second season. Age-wise, he's actually young enough to have this be his first year. Yet we have people here giving up on him. He should be our starting 3 and Kuzma should be our starting 4. In today's NBA, Kuzma is definitely big enough to play the 4. We had 6'9" Randle (let's be honest...he's closer to 6'7") starting at center for us.

We're acting like this is a playoff year and we need to put out the best possible lineup so we can scratch and claw to 45 wins. This is still a rebuilding year. We need to put the lineup out there that will make us better next season and the season after, especially now that our Lebron/PG-13 plan looks to be in jeopardy. Kuzma is starting to look more and more legit, so we might have gotten some help there. Ingram and Ball are still freaking kids. They aren't old enough to sit at a bar.

If you want to be down on Randle, I get that. This is his 3rd season, he's in the best shape of his life, and he's almost 23 years old. With Lonzo and Ingram gone last night, Randle should be the "star" of the team and he puts up 8 and 6 with 4 turnovers. But Ingram?

Nobody is giving up on him, but maybe we should re-adjust our expectations; especially after the President of Basketball Operations says things like this:

I think people are giving up on him. People calling for Kuzma to start over him when Kuzma can just as easily (and possibly more effectively) play the 4 WITH Ingram and get the black hole that is Randle out of the game. Randle is reminding me more and more of Hodor. He can be a beast for a few minutes once in a while, but most of the time he's wandering around like an imbecile.

I'm starting to lean that way as well. I'm willing to wait until we see the starters together, but it really looks like a square peg right now in a round hole.

The problem is Magic and the Lakers have done every last thing to pump him up not just to us fans, but among the team and Ingram himself. Magic Johnson said he was going to be a 20 point scoring leader for the team... From the bench?
