First of all, I never like wishing an injury on someone. I don't think that's a good thing to do. A real injury of course. A twisted ankle is nothing major. I don't care about that.

Second of all, this is a classic vet move to get out of grinding though training camp. Not worried.

    Fans are hilarious

Go from alleged #2 all time to out of the top 10 if you don't win it all.

    Solid roster if healthy though

I like it though they need to hire some on court doctors for that guard rotation.

he's just mad that for all the boston bluster, they managed to pay 30 per to a couple of second/third bananas and cashed in the bulk of the trade chips on lebron's sidekick.

If things go as planned, (captain) LaBron will essentially be telegraphing to our FO who he wants to play with next year in LA.

Btw, I'm sure this has nothing to do with all the stars heading out West.

I was wondering how they were going to make sure LeBron and Kyrie didn’t have to play on the same team again, and field an entire roster for the Eastern conference.

LeBron gets the first pick: "Paul George".
    Curry: "Durant."
    LeBron: "Lonzo Ball".
Curry: "He wasn't voted in to the All-Star Game."
    LeBron: "Brandon Ingram."

all the east players would get picked last, haha, would be funny if starting lineup for both side were all WC players of course minus James.

Just heard there will still be an equal amount of players from each conference in the game, they just can be picked by either side is all. So basically what that means is everyone is rushing to pick all the West players first while the East sits and waits.

Makes historical East vs West records worthless, but the game was losing meaning. Will it make anyone actually play any harder though?

Nah, instead of being East vs West players running up and down court dunking 100 times, it will be East and West players mixed up together running up and down the court dunking 100 times.

My first thoughts too. Are they actually going to play a little more D for more of the game?

For what it's worth Windhorst was on ESPN today. He said he doesn't know what LeBron wants, but that whatever it is likely will be tied to legacy. He says that means LeBron isn't going to be heading to Philadelphia. He's going to go somewhere that would have more weight than that. He also pointed out that LeBron left Cleveland out of the blue when they failed in the playoffs. He left Miami out of the blue when they failed in the playoffs. If Cleveland fails in the playoffs and if the Lakers look exciting, LeBron likely will be a Laker.

He also said that the NBA is better when the Lakers are better and that it was important for the league for the Lakers to be relevant. He said this in response to Lonzo Ball which I thought was particularly poignant. He was extremely complimentary of Lonzo. Extremely, extremely complimentary.

On the flip side he said that Lonzo was clearly on the thin side and has a lot of growing to do. He's got explosiveness and he's got wow factor, but he needs some time to grow.

Windhorst also pointed out that Westbrook's extension was a pretty big shot to the Lakers. Keep in mind there were some rumors that LeBron wanted to join Westbrook in LA. He also said it's going to be really tough for Paul George to leave OKC if the team looks good. We'll know long before FA starts what happens with Carmelo. If Carmelo opts to stay in OKC, Paul George is going to have a hard time walking away from an organization that gave him everything he wanted, is proving they're willing to spend, and give him the vibe he wants.
