Apparently it was Ball/Brewer/Kuzma/Beacham/Bryant according to someone on reddit who said he heard Trudell say it on the radio.
Its that LightSkinConnection! Also Kuzma is, as of now, not a projected starter so from the sound of those tweets, it looks like the SL dynamic duo led the way again. This obviously will sound premature, but I'm so hyped with how these guys have conducted themselves (via in-game play, offseason prep, interviews and attitude), my no-trade list in no particular order is BI, Zo, Kuz & LNJ. There will be growing pains, but if you add established stars around that young core, we'll be competing for titles in no time at all.
I mean Magic threw shade two on Media Day. "He didn't come in here acting like he was the #2 pick and the man, he was just one of the guys." Hm...
Haha I love the honesty, Lonzo definitely getting more comfortable with our media and the questions. Full Interview from Day 3
@therealdeal cotdamn, dey thro'n heaters at dat bois head. That Ball-Bron connection is devastating. Btw, you guys notice Randle acting like he didn't just see that....and if you squint, you actually see him grinning. So.much.shade.
Damn!!! WTF? That was intentional as hell. No way was LBJ trying to get that to Mozgov or the other player on the side line further left.
Gotta get that board first Ju. I can easily see this going wrong if he just bolts down the court and his man grabs the O-board. Sub Nance first play!
I can see why this team won, Kuzma and Brewer love to run, Blue likes to shoot, Bryant basically is all hustle. Still great to hear that Ball can make a “lesser” unit that much better, that whatever team you put him on is going to automatically gain the advantage.
Part of me sees it that way. The other part can't help but give a bit of the side eye to the "starters."
Randle said he and his team were within one possession twice against Lonzo's team and somehow couldn't finish it. Another indication of Lonzo's ability to be "that guy", but still good news considering a team with two of our starters should be able to hold their own. Randle's team was KCP, Ennis, Deng, Zimmerman, and Caruso. Not as tailor made of a squad as Lonzo's, but still a team that should fit decently around Randle. I'm glad to hear it was competitive. I don't know about Ingram's team.
Okay. That makes a lot more sense. I'm behind on listening to the breakdowns but the thought that a team with Ingram and Randle couldn't beat that Lonzo team was troubling.
