really interested to see if his better conditioning helps with mental lapses. but the lakers are in good position with him as an RFA next summer. if he does break out, they can feel better about signing just one max guy.
Randle and Clarkson will be ex-lakers in 9 months. Enjoy them now, they are not in the future plans. Can't tie up the money for two bozo's who have mediocre fundamentals and even worse BBIQ.
Always with the absolute statements, especially Julius when you really don't know how he's going to play this year or his value to the team with Lonzo there now. Could he be gone .... sure. Could he possibly stay .... we'll know more by deadline. Why they play the games.
If he becomes a leader I won't complain. I just don't want "too many cooks in the kitchen" with a bunch of people trying to be the leader.
Can't wait to get rid of that bozo Randle. After improving several areas last year, getting in the best shape his life this summer, working on his shooting and in general taking managements advice to heart...there's no room for that here.
Ya, I saw him prep. He was running drills like I do when I'm playing basketball. Basically a guy standing in front of him and shooting with no resistance. Even still, game time brain and speed can't be measured in the off season. He is a mental midget when it comes to team flow and team basketball. Clarkson is even worse. I know. I haven't missed a single Lakers game in 10 years. Not even preseason.
Did you go through a full body transformation in a month or 2? Can you swish 3 after 3 after 3 even with no defense? I'd love to see the footage. There were videos of Randle last year with improved shooting that couldn't compare to this. Point is, the guy works his tail off and shows marked improvement and you call that guy a bozo? Randle may not be a Laker after this year and I understand why, but to act like this guy is a nobody is foolish. I'll take a hard worker with a slightly lower IQ than an intelligent but lazy player (which there are plenty of).
"It's not how hard you work. You can play with all the hard you want. But it's how smart you play." -Kobe Bryant 2000 NBA Championship DVD describing what Phil Jackson told him.
And at 22 you're just convinced beyond a doubt he can't play any smarter and any better man or help defense or shoot better. I hope you're not hoping for him to fall short in those areas just to be right. And if you're not hoping for that why keep bashing like you are when we will all know soon enough over the first half of the season?
I just look at who we have, and think with the style we want to play, and with a payday choice coming up, he might be the odd guy out. It's up to him to prove us wrong. Also depends who we are targeting next year in FA.
