I told a friend tonight that Lavar has been quiet lately. I spoke too soon.

if TLDR, read this: “It’s going to be like this, and I’m talking about reality. He’s going to say, ‘You know what? I went to Miami. Won a championship. Brought one back to my home town. I’m the only one to go to three different places and bring a championship.’ “You do not give Lonzo Ball the best player in the game and don’t think they going to win! He is going to fall in love with Lonzo so much on the way that he play. They both understand the game. Best player in the game and you don’t think he coming? Stop it!”

I'm not sure many states will, but even half that (2500) will get them a million. What size are you getting?

that kid better grow and put on some weight, learn team ball, and play some D before I can take him seriously. But I've never bought any player's shoes actually. I confess, there is zero chance that trend changes with LaMelo.

Nice handles and his range is ridiculous, but I agree, he's too light, shoots too much, and has no idea of what defense is. Doesn't even try on that end of the court.

He's a Kyrie disciple. I love watching Kyrie play, but you better be Kyrie or better to play that way. Same with Curry.

People hate change, but I think Lonzo and his family are going to really ingratiate themselves with the rest of the league. They're changing the game in a positive way for the players.

I hope he doesn't have a Lambo at 16. Odds are good that you'll crash your first car. Get something safe and durable and make your mistakes on that vehicle. Then get the lambo.

As for their status in the league, I agree. Players are always looking for ways to market their brand. Twitter, Instagram, shoe deals, advertisements, the best agents, music, television.

I was wearing a Laker shirt and Kobe's at a daycare today for work. Kids about 8 and 9 years old were telling me Lonzo is better than Kobe. This is in OKC!!!! I was shocked they knew who Lonzo was. So maybe the HS and college age kids don't like the BBB shoes. But these 8 and 9 year old kids are gonna grow up wanting them and it won't be long before they're buying them with dreams of their own brand.

    that's a pretty funny story

but it's still kind of cool they know who Kobe is that young. I wasn't into basketball yet, as I grew up on the Dodgers

I'm not sure who I am more upset with, the kids or their parents. Most likely the ladder.

What is the back story and maybe a link about how this came to be with Nash doing what here with Lonzo? Working with him I assume. I must have missed it. Happy about it though. Can't hurt.

I don't know if this is Lavar the promoter or Lavar the dad, but as much as I think Nash and his MVPs are overrated, it's never a good idea to shut out advice or training from an "expert". Nash will be a 1st ballot Hall of Famer. Lonzo would be crazy to not listen to him.

Whoa! Wait is that real? I immediately went ballistic on him and said, thinking like sirron, where was the "W" word too? But then I saw the tweet was from NBA SKITS and figured it was just a joke and he didn't really say that stuff and deleted it. I put it all back and he is an idiot if he did really say it.

    From Trevor Lane:

This part was of note to me:

I can't see how sitting out of organized ball for 3 years would help his career at all actually. I'm sure the NCAA is already licking their chops ready to declare him ineligible. If they drop a shoe for LiAngelo?? when college season starts, will he then lose eligibility? Interesting situation that will cause the NCAA to deal very publicly with their hypocrisy that so many have a problem with.
