I mean, a triathlon only requires you to do all three things. I think you might be thinking of the Iron Man Triathlon where you end it with a marathon. So a shorter version of a triathlon would just be, like, a biathlon?
Have to wait for sirron to clarify? http://www.dummies.com/sports/olympic-sports/triathlon-types-and-distances/
It was a 1k swim, 40k bike, 10k run There was a series of 3 that year. Lots of fun! I remember I was 16, and got 3rd in the 16-19 age division. I read Triathlete magazine like the Bible, and was sure I would face off with some hotshot kid in TX named Lance Armstrong who was winning semi pro races at the time. I was a faster runner, but he could smoke me in the bike and the swim. Who knew?!
Biathlons are just two sports. For endurance sports it's usually biking and running. Some races are called sprint triathlons. The full distance Ironman Triathlons are legendary, and in my to do list actually. 1.2 mile ocean swim, 112 mile bike, 26.2 Mike run (marathon) The first triathlon ever was the Hawaii Ironman, and it has a cool history behind it. Now they have longer races, but Hawaii Ironman will probably always be the gold standard.
Gotta have dreams! And only if the run portion was a disproportionately large part of the race lol But reading about his workouts as a high schooler did challenge me to think bigger. My theory was he was always really good, but it wasn't until he dropped the upper body muscle from his swimming days fighting testicular cancer that he became truly great. Turns out some EPO or other doping also played a major role unfortunately.
"Lakers Rumors: NBA Investigating L.A. For Tampering With Paul George By Corey Hansford - 08/19/2017 SHARE Brian Spurlock-USA TODAY Sports The Los Angeles Lakers have a number of big names targeted that they hope to get to join the franchise in the coming years. One who was linked consistently since last season was former Indiana Pacers wing Paul George. The Lakers reportedly tried to deal for George this offseason, but were unable to come to an agreement with the Pacers, who ultimately moved him to the Oklahoma City Thunder. Now there seems to be questions about whether the Lakers crossed the line in their pursuit of the four-time All-Star. According to NBA Insider Peter Vecsey, the Lakers are reportedly being investigated for tampering with George: Follow Peter Vecsey ✔@PeterVecsey1 NBA investigating Lakers 4 purported tampering w PGeorge. Pacers owner Herb Simon is the person who filed the charges against the Lakers. This is a serious accusation being harbored against the franchise and if it is proven that they had illegal contact with him, there will be serious consequences which could included forfeiting draft picks or not being allowed to sign George once he does become a free agent. Many fans surely remember Magic’s infamous ‘wink wink’ comment during an interview on Jimmy Kimmel Live, but these accusations undoubtedly stretch well beyond that comment. This is not the kind of news the organization hoped to be making this off-season, but this investigation will be worth watching extremely closely until everything is solved and a finding is revealed. The Lakers’ free agency plans could be squashed before they ever were able to put anything in motion if there turns out to have been some foul play this summer." http://www.lakersnation.com/lakers-...-a-for-tampering-with-paul-george/2017/08/19/
It seemed so overt at times with reports of him wanting to come but no one seemed to think there was anything to worry about. That would suck the proverbial big one if it ultimately costs us him and future picks. Way to be smart about it front office if that happens. Liked the PG thread title a whole lot better with pineapple on pizza and tamale talk.
I wonder if its still considered tampering if PG's people called Magic and told him PG wants to be a Laker without Magic initiating it.
Haha what a joke. Everyone in the f***ing league tampers and yet were the only ones getting investigated?
Good lord give me a break. This has that giant baby Pritchard written all over it. Team tamper like every single day in the NBA, Mitch reportedly doesn't do it once, then as soon as Magic and Pelinka are in and George makes it known he'd like to come to LA, we're tampering. Does this charge get filed against us if we give up the #2 pick for George back in June? No, it doesn't, so f*** Pritchard and the Pacers, bunch of babies still butthurt over losing George and probably us beating them in 2000.
Pacers salty as hell. What exactly did the Lakers do to them to justify this kind of childish antics? Beating them in the 2000 Finals?
Basketball reasons 2.0 "Lakers not allowed to sign PG... a free agent". If he stays in OKC because he gets scared... i hope we get Russ instead
CP2 part 2. Only thing missing is a letter written in Comic Sans. Unlike last time, Magic and Jeannie need to sue anyone and everyone to show they're not gonna just take this laying down.
STOP SUPERTEAM FORMATIONS!!! Us small market teams can't compete. Sincerely, Dan Gilbert (The real instigator - because Lebron is leaving again) P.S. If I can't have one, you can't either.
wow. russell trade could end up looking REALLY bad if this goes south. but yeah, what's the statute of limitations on tampering? can we sue the league for the paul issue? for houston openly courting howard the entire team he was playing with the lakers (including team officials meeting with him during the all star break in houston?!)? can we get remove miami's rings from the record book? that is some serious b*******. i would say the league couldn't do this with a straight face, but the cp3 veto means anything's possible.
I agree with this actually. I have to believe that the other owners wouldn't do this to Dr. Buss. Jeanie should find some way to fire back, especially if we're found to be without fault.
