Orange Julius was awesome, had one at every mall when I was a kid, there was nothing else like it. Now around where I live I think you can only get one at Dairy Queen, and it doesn't seem the same. Can't find a single picture of the one I remember from the 80's, this is the closest
I found a version of it here in the Philippines. I think it was called Orange Julian I thought I took a picture, but I can't find it.
No, this was before my time, that's 70's. When I would go to the mall and get them it was the late 80's/early 90's. It was never a full restaurant like that, only a stand in the food court or even by itself in the middle somewhere. The storefront had that gym floor wood look, and the display case with all the fake oranges, but not the fancy lit up menu. It did have the more 70's looking orange-ish tile walls though. Ahh, good times, when the mall didn't suck. Music stores, video stores, toy stores, book stores, now we just have Walmart.
I was born in the late 70's, so as a little kid, a lot of them looked like this. They had these and Mrs. Fields Cookies. Those were usually the dessert choices for us after our parents got us Hot Dog on a Stick (the cheese sticks of course).
Hard to judge in a clip like this with the teammates he's got, but honestly looks like a lot of the same problems and same positives.
I just went to DQ and there happens to be Orange Julius there too, I was cracking up because I read all your posts on Randle haha.
