It does, but the problem is I never look closely enough to remember what it usually looks like. It's all black and minimal now, but I can't remember if it's been that way for a long time.
I love it too. No doubt. But then you also have to wonder where Clarkson's head is when listening to Magic, after he knows he is continually being shopped by all reports and has his name along with Randle tied to dumping Deng and/or bringing in LeKing along with offered for PG reportedly? Does winning 6th man, if he also improves defense, even save his job if he's unlikely even here at the end of the season? Blech .... that was glass half empty guy talking .... hate it.
The one and only thing I don't love... is that he says Jordan is going to be closing games. I... doubt it. Our end-of-game lineup should be our best team which is probably our starters: Lonzo, KCP, Ingram, Randle, and Lopez. Who are we taking out there to let Jordan finish? Lopez or Randle is the only option and I'd rather have either of them than Jordan in the game to close out.
Well Magic said, "in the 4th quarter" which is probably true for some minutes if we want to play a semantics game. Then maybe he's not being disingenuous about it, as opposed to "closing" games. Which is what he's implying, to most observers.
seems like the unspoken clause was "if he defends". he brought up cooper for a reason. if clarkson defends and randle doesn't, i could see a ball/clarkson/pope/ingram/lopez finishing group. at least i hope that's the message: the guys who defend will play.
Yeah that's true. Defense is going to be an interesting issue next season. I don't expect Clarkson to magically figure it out though. We rightfully give Randle a hard time, but Clarkson is even worse.
not sure i can split hairs at that level. both are awful. lonzo is going to be awful on that end, too. it's going to be a problem again, i think. still, though, i think that's what magic was saying, at least in part: if you plan on being a fixture here, you'll have to defend.
This will play itself out in training camp and at the beginning of the year. I 'm not too concerned with what Magic said. He'll leave it up to Luke and the coaches to decide ultimately. I too believe at least initially without seeing anything KCP should probably be that guy instead of JC, but a lot can change.
Who would you rather have as our second unit back court? a) JC - Hart b) Ennis - JC c) JC - Brewer I personally like the JC - Hart backcourt because they both can stretch the floor and I kinda want to develop Hart right away. Also Hart is known for defense.
