Sure it's possible and I don't rule that out.

But even a great year from him isn't Lebron. I'm not that excited about our interest in him for reasons I have already gone over but still. We aren't passing on Lebron for Julius.

Exactly. If Randle plays so well we don't need Lebron or George then wonderful.

I'd be glad if this happened, but as it stands now I can't see Randle improving to the point where we pay him the kind of money he's going to be due. He's been too inconsistent to this point, he'd have to have a hell of a year, and/or like others pointed out, we'd have to strike out in free agency big time first.

I'd love for Ball, Ingram, and Randle to have amazing years, and for Pope and Lopez to make us think twice about letting them leave.

If we're a couple years away anyways, I'd love to roll with home grown if they show they are up to the task this year.

Yah I said it was a fantasy and unicorn esque. Though not really all that rare. Someone like already beast like Julius Randle has a break out year. Do we even realize yet what that's going to look like with his even greater athleticism and vertical game? Something I'm rooting for anyway. What can it hurt?

yea but seems regardless of progression, lots of folks here just want to leverage his potential break out season as a tool to unload Deng, which sucks...all for the hope of landing his royal highness

It's not that I want to use him to unload the Denchor (thanks Savory), it's that he may be our only way to do so. I don't want to unload him for LeBron either, I want 2 max free agents (star players), and that doesn't leave money for what Randle is going to get, even if he maintains his current stats. If he's SO good he warrants that money here though, I'm all for it, it's only his 3rd real season coming up, it's entirely possible he has a breakout year. He doesn't to me seem to be in the current front office's plans though, regardless of how any of us feel.

How about instead what (Who) do we have to add to a hopefully also improved Clarkson including defense, plus an unprotected 1st rounder in 2019 and whatever other 2nd round picks ..... in the way of another player? Not named Kuzma. Deng, with again hopeful thinking, maybe looks like he has some game left this year. He seemed genuinely pissed in his head so we'll see it this year if there is anything.

What's not to like about Brewer and his vet leadership? This guy is always saying positive stuff and praising the kids on the team. When was the last time we heard a word out of our 72 million dollar anchor? April, when he said he was going to shut critics up next season?

Julius and his Mom looking great out there! Good for him. He has so much motivation to do well this year and is starting off in a great place. He's not fat any more. :Kobe Snickering:
