    The Warriors will still have the 2 best players in the series IMO with Steph Curry and KD. LeBron will be a step slower by then...will no longer be the best player in the world IMO... in fact i think KD took that title from him last year.

    Sorry, every one of LeBron's teams were better than the 2009-2010 Laker's teams except for his first team back in 2007. Pau has never been the top big man in the league. Bynum was a half broken. LO was terrific, but never even made an all star team.

    Championships as not the only metric in considering greatness, but in considering GOAT status they have to have a big consideration because the Finals are the ultimate pressure cooker. For me, it's what puts MJ slightly above Kareem.

    My thoughts exactly. Being a Laker fan was one of the last safe Havens for Lebron haters, I guess that's all out the window now. I might have to disappear from basketball for a few years lol.

    I disagree. I think we can give them a run for their money..... if this is our team:

    Lopez >>>> ZaZa
    Bron >>>> Draymond
    PG13 <<<< Durant
    Ingram <<<< Klay
    Ball <<<< Curry

    The length of Ingram and Ball will bother Klay and Curry. Not enough that they won't get their points, but they'll have to work on defense. Same with the KD / PG13 matchup. IMO, we have a huge advantage at the 4 and 5. Warriors have advantages at 3 of the 5 spots, but it's no cakewalk. With that lineup, we beat every other team in the league and I think we can push the Dubs deep into a series.

    Detroit had the better all around talent/depth IMO. Faster,more athletic(Besides Kobe,Shaq was in meh shape right?) That Pistons team is underrated AF.

    No... We should be beating the C Bags right now.

    Game 2 in the 08 Finals was one of the worst officiated games I've ever seen. Refs singlehandedly stopped a miraculous comeback on our part that would have absolutely changed the momentum in the series.

    Yeah, I really do hate many things about him personality wise, and his no balls, as Kobe said point blank, ridiculous acting jobs FLOPPING. Any of those f****** floppers that have infested the league. A whole lot different than what a flop used to mean when a charge was taken. Some guys getting knocked backwards flying it was the real deal and still they got accused of flopping. But these cheaters take the histrionics to a whole new level. So of course LeBron with his incredible size and athleticism and developed skills over the years is currently the best player in the world. No argument. But he also has become a ring chaser and carpet bagger who leaves his team whenever he thinks he has a better chance to go somewhere to other teams always trying to get better players around him to try to stack up the rings, considering how poor his record has been in that regard once he gets to the championship finals. If Green doesn't go complete idiot last year GS has three rings in a row, and the "King" .... "check my stats" LBJ has only 2 rings with all his made to order super teams. If Ray Allen doesn't bail him out at last possible second after LBJ had shrunk in crunch time that whole series to that point, by hitting that corner shot, then LBJ has 1 ring for all his team unfaithfulness. There's just no way LBJ at this stage of his career with that baggage can have an argument made that he is the "Greatest NBA player of All Time" over Michael Jordan. Whether he winds up with all the statistics and scoring records or not. Needs him another 2 or 3 rings, and of course here he comes because we're the new glint in his eye. Jordan would have eaten him up mentally.

    Experience matters man. Lopez has played 13 playoff games in his career, Ingram hasn't played one, and Ball has yet to play a single game. I love the optimism for the direction we're going here, but let's be a little realistic at least. That Warriors team is one of the best of all time and theyd have been together 3 years or more by the time we saw them IF we exceeded expectations immediately. If that lineup didn't have Lakers jerseys on people would laugh at the idea that it could push the Warriors, when LeBron, Irving, and Love couldn't. I HOPE you're right, don't get me wrong, I've just seen too much NBA ball to expect a team to get that good that fast.

    Despite this being a 13 minute old post, it deserves more likes. We started Slava at PF. We also can't underestimate the effect of the Kobe rape trial and Shaq/Kobe feud basically coming to a head. If Kobe and Shaq are just playing halfway nice with each other and Malone doesn't get hurt, we win that series going away.

    Agree. Even Bill Simmons wrote an article about the officiating that game. he admitted we got robbed. We got a really bad call early in the game and it was like the refs were playing make-up for Boston the rest of the game.

    This is all so tired. Plain and simple we lost that year due to the bad luck or rather lack of luck with the key injury to Malone. It's always a crapshoot with injuries and luck in that regard. Healthy Malone and we win that series no question. It wasn't due to some squad chemistry or cohesiveness problems.

    Honestly it was so long ago you just kinda flush it down the toilet.. I always thoroughly like to move on but i just looked up Karls stats.. He was averaging 13-9 @48%. I dunno if he literally single handed makes THAT much of a difference.
