I just can't believe the kind of impact this guy has on the court. Part of me desperately wants him to play tomorrow so we have another chance to watch him play. The rational side of me though says it's just the SL and we need him to just go get ready for the real thing.

It's notable though that Lonzo was eviscerating Dennis Smith Jr. today before he pulled his calf. Dennis Smith Jr. is a good prospect and if he has anything, it's elite NBA athleticism and it wasn't bothering Lonzo at all. That was something to really see. I'm running out of good things to say. This kid is special and he's going to be a great player for us. If we're talking transcendent talent, he's done everything on his platform to prove that he is. Obviously there's more tests (and harder ones) coming, but right now he's doing everything he can to prove his place on our roster.

It looked to me that either he, or Judd, decided that he has to stay toe to toe with Smith Jr. and the team would take care of the rest. I haven't seen him that offensively aggressive for his own shots to start a game before today.

Maybe just took him out to save for next game due to the lead?

An "injury" so he's not just sitting here on the bench and forced back in?

Ehhh. I'd be fine with us keeping him out next game. I thought I read somewhere that he was averaging more minutes than several of the other top picks. If so, I think he's more than proven himself. Sit him down beside Ingram.

I'm driving the Lonzo Ball bus, but question -- he was supposed to be hurt in the first few UCLA games, hurt in the Kentucky game, sick in his first workout with the Lakers, hurt for the 3rd SL game, and now this one... Do we have an injury prone player on our hands?

He's skinny and young, he just needs to get stronger, these are minor injuries he'll be fine.

Wondering about that myself...the Mr. Glass thing. This is where the medical and conditioning staff earn their keep, monitor Ball's status.

The Lonzo effect, where Vander freaking Blue was second in assists today with 6.

I really want to win it all tomorrow but his health is more important.

That stat line tonight in 21 minutes, no turnovers with 10 dimes, shooting a great percentage and making 3's.... what's not to love.

Woooooooow. Best game yet. Hope that allows the rest of the body parts. Calves can get tight quite often. Game doesn't start till 7.. Let him go out there and if you feel anything you pull him. If anything be a decoy and try not to explode as much.

So far, to me, he's living up to all the hype. Can't wait to see how he matches up during the regular season.

A double double at halftime. He was 5-6 shooting, 14 points, 10 assists at that point. He was going at Dennis Smith with zero fear, it was a show between the 2 of them, and it was damn fun to watch. He was dominating the game, absolutely ballin'. I don't think he's injury prone either, I think he's never played this many games in this many days with this many minutes and it's hot as f*** in Vegas. Our staff is being extra cautious with him too, like with Ingram, as they should be.
