We gave Doizer a 2 way contract?? When was this? Are you sure you aren't mixing it up with a summer league invite, I thought that was all it was.

I can't find any specifics on his signing details. I could swear it being 2 of something, but I thought it was 2 years. If it's a 2 WAY contract that would make more sense.

Yeah I actually can't find anything anymore about Dozier getting a 2-way contract... I could have sworn that's what it was, but I guess not. That's actually a huge bummer for Dozier. He didn't have much opportunity to prove himself and then he hurts himself to boot in Summer League? Rough start to his career.

Hopefully we can nab him on our Summer League squad, but I think he's going to get snatched up somewhere if we don't give him a 2-way contract. He's one of the more unique and promising athletes on the open market right now.

He along with Josh arent playing tonight.. I think theyre gonna try to have Vander take a 2 way and Dozier stashed in the G-League or maybe were possibly try to see if hes willing to go on the DL or something to have more time until down the road. Seems a lil fishy.

Turiaf incarnated...with all that dancing on the sidelines with each trey made by his teammates on the floor. Did his bit mixing it up with the Dallas bigs in the second half.

Nothing to review really...just played his game when Zubac was out. Just another big body to clog the middle. Didn't really help much when the Mavs were making their big run. Bryant didn't really stand out. Still raw and a project...

Gotcha.. Thanks for the input. Young AF.. Good traits to have though for 5 min if we have to during regular season.

:) Bryant did make Black and Thomas Robinson expendable so who knows? With Lopez and Zubac entrenched as the starter/backup at the 5 with Nance/Randle at spot minutes or more if we play small ball teams, see no room or even opps for him unless we're blowing out the opponent or we're at the receiving end. Practice fodder, give fouls where needed. Worse comes to worse, I'd take my chances with Bryant over Mozgov the Human Glacier or Hibbert The Fallen.

Yeah you made good point. When Lopez goes the bench id like to see Nance go to C and see if we can get away with it. Gonna depend on the match up of the backup C i suppose. Zu/Bryant available to see if it can fix the issue.

Zubac looks slow and is struggling to keep up with the pace as others have noted. Bryant has the foot speed to change ends faster.

Yeah youre right but I wanna see how Zu looks in actual pre season with morw legit pace, prototypical players. Summer league is purely small ball IMO. Thats not Zu.

Really gonna depend on opposing teams backup.

I said the other day I wouldn't be broken up if we don't keep him, and I won't be still, but with how Zu is playing, we may need him. If Lopez gets hurt and has to miss any significant time, we will need 2 centers to be backups. Black and Robinson are gone, so that may have to be Bryant.

Might be premature for me to say this but lets see what kind of strides he makes the next few months.. If not maybe we can stash in the G-League.

We still have the room exception we can dig into to get him a deal I believe.

Not to mention, the Lakers can bring Ennis back on Bird Rights so until Ennis inks the deal, we still have that small amount of cap space available.
