Atlanta Hawks went undefeated in January. They are 19-0. There have only been 4 winning streaks longer than this one.
How crazy is that? Where did the Hawks come from all of a sudden? Since we have less than no chance, I'm hoping the Hawks take it all this year.
If an East conference team wins it all it will be because the West team got beat up getting into the finals.
I think if the Thunder don't make the playoffs (shockingly it is not a complete given) or at least the semis it makes Durant think. I hope we get our top 5 pick and start building our team. No star free agent will want to move into a disaster area. We want to have as many pieces in place as possible. Durant is the max star we want IMHO, he even turns our weak SF position into our strength. We need to make the team as viable as possible. We have dodged some bullets by not keeping Dwight, or getting Melo or Rondo, but we can't just keep not getting people. Also the 5 million to 12 million dollar players we may get are extremely important to how we continue. If Kobe is involved in the pitch for Durant, we have him read this card....... "Hi Kevin Durant, I want you to lead this franchise, I am handing you the keys, and promise to give all I have left to help win a ring for the Lakers. You are a winner, and you have the toughness, drive and intensity to do it. You have the championship D.N.A that Kareem, West, Magic, and myself have. Let's do this." (edit if Kobe is still a player at this time.) This may require heavily sedating Kobe or hiring a Kobe impersonater if Kobe can't say this but it is worth a shot. All fan fiction aside it will be hard taking a Durant, M Gasol, or Lamarcus away from a franchise. Building a stronger team is what will make us a viable destination as numerous posters have suggested. Hopefully Hill can be moved to bolster this rebuild.
^ Well said. To even try to pull that off you need two things: that Top 5 Pick and a strong FA or two this summer. We don't necessarily need a huge star, but we definitely need a guy that people say "oh hey that was a nice pick-up". We need our Monta Ellis. Dragic is a natural fit there, but can we convince him to make the leap?

76ers set to beat the Nuggets. Good for us and only fair as the 76ers should be tanking for the next 20 years anyway. They should rechristen them the Philadelphia Tropical Fish, because if they are not in a tank then they are not alive.
Just waiting for the news to come down the pipelines that both Brian Shaw and Magic HC Jacque Vaughn have been let go. Not saying its Brian's fault but his players just don't give a damn sometimes and the effort in some of these games is flat out embarrassing.
Watching clippers/Cavs. This is why every team should fear the Cavs, refs taking over the game, called 3 techs on the Clippers in 2 minutes, extremely weak ones, and I hate the Clippers. Lauren Holtkamp calling techs if you look at her wrong.
