What a moment for the young man. Excellent use of the 2-way contract. He'll be on the D-Fenders, but at least we're keeping him in house. I'm very, very happy for him. Well deserved.

We were absolutely destroying the guy in gametime the first 2 games, but man he turned it around the last 2. He went from looking clumsy and bumbling to hustling all over the place, playing really good defense, making some sweet passes, and hitting some shots. It's a smart use of the 2 way contract, and he absolutely earned it.

I believe the 2 way contract allows a team now to have up to 17 players with the G League ones "stashed" there rather than having to go play overseas or something. Not sure how it works entirely, or how it works on a 2 year deal, but I believe it still leaves us room for signing a full time backup pg.

That's great news, the guy isn't that undersized either, he's 6'5 did you see that alley oops from Lonzo and he hammered it. I like his game, good having a backup pg for emergency in your backyard in the South Bay Lakers

I said from that first game it looked like Caruso played himself into a contract, hopefully with the Lakers.

    Spoke it into existence :Woozyshaq:

It's a two-way contract which means he's still essentially a G-League player. The key difference is he'll get up to 45 games with the Lakers this year. After 45 games if the Lakers want to call him up, they'll have to sign him to an actual minimum contract deal. With the two-way contract, he'll earn about 75,000 dollars as a G-League player with the potential to earn up to 275,000 if he spends the maximum 45 days with the NBA team.
