Top 3 Rookie PPG this season: 1. Wiggins 15.5 2. Parker 12.4 3. McDaniels 9.2 Clarkson at 14.8 game as a starter, and he's quickly climbing the list. Could finish top 3 fa sho.
You can only trade an injured player when the other team is willing to waive a physical for him. If we sent Hill somewhere, they'd have to accept him as damaged goods and that can be rare.
With a team option for next year, Hill might still have decent value as essentially a $9 million expiring contract.
See..... we all told Doc he's injury prone JUUUSST KIDDING ........ sucks for Jordan as he has Balled this year. Sucks for us if we had any kind of deal in place to trade him for something and this messes it up. I sure would not mind seeing him back next year though. Not cheap is the problem. Good guy and lays it on the line every night.
If we had a deal in place to get a first round pick for him, I'm going to be super PO'ed. This is the right time to trade him...and a team like HOUSTON could actually use him with Dwight being out for a while. I mean, every western conference contender can use him right now....even the Clippers. We need to extract a first round pick for him somehow. He's our only asset. He's in a unique situation for whoever picks him up...because if they pick him up, he has a team option on his contract. If he does well, they pick it up. If he doesn't do well, simply cut him. But I'm thinking whoever gets him and gives up a first, they aren't gonna wanna do that. Also, we will definitely have to take back someone whose contract expires in 2016..meaning we won't be taking back an expiring K and a first round pick...but hey, as long as we get the first round pick that's all I care about...
If we do trade Hill for a 1st round pick AND we get our 1st Round pick back from PHX, how many 1st round picks would we have? 1st from HOU 1st from Hill trade 1st from PHX (our own; lottery) 3?
