He's looked human all season long after his big weight loss of muscle in the summer, and of course as soon as he goes back to Miami for the healing feeling he's all pumped again and scoring 30 a game, looking like Lebronze of old. Steroids can do some wonders. Is anyone at all surprised or shocked any longer? This must be the worst kept secret in the NBA.

I don't know if I've already ranted on this, but I think it deserves another go:

Remember in the Finals when they kept telling us that LeBron was the greatest human athlete on the planet and we didn't understand the kind of cramps his body has? Remember they told us he was in such awesome physical condition and he was such a phenomenal human specimen that his cramps were like "epileptic seizures"? We just didn't get it because we weren't athletes like him so we should shut up about cramps!

Well if he was in such tremendous condition... if he had no more calories to burn and he was just in the most tremendous shape of anyone ever... How did he lose 30 pounds over the next 3 months going on a "diet"? If he was in the kind of shape they were hinting at, which is borderline superhuman, then how did a diet affect his weight/body composition so enormously and on such a large scale? How does the best conditioned athlete in the world lose that much weight by changing a diet when he's the best conditioned athlete in the world?

How is no one talking about this?

It's ridiculous. It's glaringly obvious to anyone with half a brain. The fact is the league and the media have been burying their heads in the sand because they don't want to expose their golden boy. But it's been so easy to see Wade and James have been on the juice.

I've never seen Lebron cramp in a regular season game.

The whole body type cramp thing was just a load of BS. I'm sure he will bow out with another injury when they are about to get bounced.

Will they get bounced tho? They've won 4 in a row now against some quality teams and look like they're turning it around. LeBron looks great again, and the whole narrative is playing out as I keep describing it. Early adversity makes for great drama, which LeBron seems to love, when they end up winning. The Bulls are suddenly struggling as well because Thibbs plays Pau and Butler 49 minutes a game. Also, I still do not trust these teams like Atlanta and Toronto that have no real star for when things get tight in the playoffs, and you need that guy to get superstar calls. Meanwhile the West will beat each other up again and some team with no Finals experience might get there and choke like the Warriors or Grizzlies. I'm not counting the Cavs out yet, it's far too early to celebrate their demise.

Wait what quality teams did they beat?

    Lakers?
    Utah?
    Chicago without Noah and Dunleavy

    Clippers - One quality win

They are beating the Hornets tonight. That's not quality.

Well I said some quality teams, not all quality teams. The way they've been playing, beating the Bulls even without Noah is a quality win, and yes the Clippers, and I think they'd count the Pelicans as a good win too if they finish it the way they've been going. Wins are wins at this point for them, if they start a big streak then their seed in the playoffs will not be nearly as bad as people thought it would be a week ago. All I'm saying is it's too early to bury them.

I don't believe the NBA rigs playoff series or anything, but all you have to do is look at the Cavs game vs us as an example of how refs can take over and change the momentum of a game. That's why I feel all they have to do is get in, be playing at a decent level, and they will make the Finals at least. Whether or not they beat the West representative is a different story.

They are playing the Hornets (18-26), not the Pelicans.

Playoff time they will get exposed for their team defense, JR Smith shooting sub 40%, Kyrie and Love not having been in the playoffs before and their overall lack of experience.

Love or Irving will go down before the season ends.

I so wish they get to ECF.

Why, you ask? That may prevent Love from leaving and thus prevent us from getting him.

Which would be a Melo-like relief for me.

100% agree. Addition by non-addition. I want no part of being the PR clean up for non max 'superstar" Kevin Like. We are not the nursing home for fallen all stars, and he is a heck of a lot of cap space for what he brings. He would want Lamarcus or prime Pau money for superior role player contributions.

Smith, Mosgov starting to make a difference, 6 game win streak, beat the Bulls, Clippers, and Thunder in it, LeBron suddenly looks interested. Not out of the title chase, LeBron suddenly not out of the MVP race. All part of the narrative...

And like that the MVP talk and "Lebron said the year would be this way" is back..... They were just waiting with baited breath like a dog waiting on his master to come home for the Cavs to start winning. damn shame

This is unreal....a 7 game winning streak and suddenly LeBron is back in the MVP convo? Suddenly Kyrie is an all star with one great game? Suddenly the Cavs are going back to the finals? I Just knew it was too good to be true with this team being below .500....I just hope the Hawks or Bulls CRUSH their dreams in the playoffs. I'm picking ATL to go to the finals. They are Spurs 2.0....but even better. I cannot wait.

roids aside, if Cleveland gets it together and nabs the 2 seed in the east, LeBron needs the mvp. his stats will be identical to the great james harden, and no rational person would think these two players are on the same tier, talent and impact-wise.

I suppose I'd make a similar case for kd if okc manages to jump a few teams in the west. these are the best players in the game today. giving the mvp to a second-tier player because his team had a slightly better season is kind of a joke.

Why the hate for James harden? He has been a beast this season and Houston has had a myriad of injuries to starting players (including ya boy Dwight) and Harden has kept them afloat in the uber competitive western conference. Ok, maybe if LeBron gets Cleveland to a 2 seed, yes he could get MVP. But he plays in a much weaker conference, and again, Harden has been unbelievably good this year (and he's playing defense this year, surprise surprise). And let's not forget Stephen Curry and what he's doing for the Warriors team who NOBODY seems to be talking about once again. Sorry, my vote goes to either of these two guys regardless of where the Cavs end up in the East.

First, it is a damn shame that Lebron is even in the conversation at this point. MVP isn't about the most talented person but most valuable. Clev was sucking with Lebron and they are playing better with Lebron. If Clev fell that far back in the West they wouldn't be sniffing a top 2 seed.

As for Harden, the dude can ball but I think most people's problem is he is also a manufactured star. It is hard to get past his parade to the line by the officials. What would his stats look like if he got calls like everyone else? I have heard he is playing some D so by all standards he should be at the very least in the convo but I can't imagine him winning it especially when he and the Rockets regress which I suspect they will.

My vote would go to one of the GS boys at the moment they are flat out doing it all. Curry is easily the front runner but unlike Lebron (golden child) and Harden (freshly made golden boy) Curry isn't media made or media hyped. Can he get over the media bias to win it?

Reason for the hate for Harden:

    Career FGM: 2360
    Career FTM: 2419

I don't know of any MVP-caliber player that made more free throws than actual baskets.
