At this point I'm taking Randle off the table.

If these kids develop like they should Paul George will be a Laker next offseason.

The fact that he's already trying to recruit only confirms that for me.

Butler and CP3 trades happen...meanwhile seems we will not get that chance, this season at least.

Windhorst said Morey will still try and acquire Paul George to pair him with Chris Paul and James Harden.

So, Clint Capella is the next Shaq or what? Cuz I don't see what else they have to offer that's better than anything we or Boston can offer.

They have a first round pick in 2018, but that pick isn't any better than our late round picks from this year.

Yeah not quite sure how they'd pull that off.

Capela has some value, but I don't see anything there that'd beat Boston if Boston wants to make that push.

Bad news for us though with this move if only because it'll drive a market forward now where I truly believe there wasn't much of one before.

The fact remains though that signing an extension is unlikely no matter where George is traded. We're not dead until that extension is signed. Not to mention, is Houston a good fit for George? Chris Paul and James Harden will almost never not have the ball. It won't be too dissimilar from playing with two Russell Westbrooks. I wouldn't want to be third wheel at that party.

Yeah, they got a shot at him. Paul and Harden? If I were George, I'd be interested.

If PG ends up in LAL this year, it's because Pacers contacted them.

They can spin this situation all they want, talk to every other team just to make it appear how they want it to appear but it won't change the fact that they're desperate.

I don't mean this flippantly, but why?

You'd almost never see the ball. You'd be going there to be Kevin Love basically. It'd be more fun than Indiana for sure, but If I were him I'd prefer Boston.

There are still likely 1 + 1 roster needs contracts to be done with career-positioning-for-next-contract veterans. Somehow I just don't get any inkling that Magic and Rob are stumbling around in the FO.

See I don't think they are anymore. The rental market is still hot. Boston, Cleveland, and now Houston are all definitely in the mix. I still believe it's a rental if for no other reason than George stands to lose money by signing an extension, but if you don't give up the whole farm and you convince him to stay with a winning program... That's a good day for those teams.

Let's just ignore that Houston doesn't have the assets to trade for PG for a second. How the HELL would CP3, Harden, & PG work when they're all ball dominant players? Man, they'll be scratching each others' eyes out over the ball before December.

Sidenote: Is anyone else beyond tired of the press wetting their pants over Morey? The guy is a solid exec, but doesn't seem as patient as he should be and treats players/transactions like he's playing 2K. Can this dude just sniff a Finals even once before we crown him Jerry West?

I think some of guys will take a step back in their games; Paul already plays off-ball, Harden will probably play more off-ball, and Chris will probably be orchestrating. Just a guess; I know how it looks on paper, but I think it can work.

I think when there is great players on the floor, they'll figure out, and if we had the same exact situation in Los Angeles, we'd be saying what a coup we scored...

I just don't trust these news are reliable as it is serious. One word, one call, one little anything trade would make news instantly just because it's PG.

Whoever gives up better assets than the 27/28/Randle we were offering for a one year rental shall have their GM fired.

CP3, Harden, and PG would be an absolutely hilarious mess to watch

But are we going to ignore that HOU has absolutely nothing to give up to acquire PG? Well, then again I wouldn't be surprised after the return LAC got for CP3

And now I'm convinced Bird is in Pritchard's ear about not trading PG to LA. HOU acquires PG for scraps yet Clarkson/Randle+2 1st rounders wasn't enough for PG? Lolol
