Definitely.. Consistency goes a long way. Laker fan or not, i think 40% is definitely do able as well as far as an analytical projection I like the thought of Clark,BI and Randle bull dozing a lil with LEGIT space or hopefully Lopez is gonna be hitting 3s all day.. Hopefully Ball? Well find out tomorrow.
I got a feeling fans are gonna love this guy. He's a surfer type guy and has that kind of vibe to him. This is his homecoming after years of being on the East coast. He may sacrifice some coin to stay closer to home after his contract expires.
Having him signed say 5 year @ 15M would be a gift. I think we will crush the Warriors if we get PG plus LBJ by being big when they go small
He already averages 2.5 assists per game which among Centers is very high. The entire purpose of drafting Lonzo Ball is to break the culture of isolation. There will be far less ball stopping on this team next year both because of Lonzo and because of the design of the offense. The offense is not supposed to be predicated on isolation. Ball pounders like D'Angelo, Jordan, and Julius may not be here long anyway. I didn't say Lopez's assists would jump a lot, but a 0.5-1.0 jump in assists wouldn't be out of the question at all. The key would hopefully be reducing his turnovers or at least improving his assist/turnover ratio.
3 mill a year?.... lol. If you're saying 15 mill a season I sure as hell don't do that gamble and use my money elsewhere.
The thing that irritates me... people refuse and reach to make contracts seem worse than they really are cause they're still going off of deals in their heads from effing 5-10 years ago lol.
Well until we have a $300mm salary cap you can't validate the epic crappiness of the Deng and Moz deals
I'm not talking about those in particular... the inflation is for real. What has the increase been compared to 5-8 years ago? A firm 20-25% automatic increase?
Best description of Lopez so far is efficient... Not an overpowering presence but able to create his shots. Thank goodness it isn't his crazy haired, goofball twin we dealt for.
Amazingly efficient. Other than Dirk and Durant what big in the game today can shoot 50/80/and maybe 40
Lopez will not be asked to do too much and he will clear the paint for Randle to operate inside the paint without having to run into a stationary big lug in there.
You forget Ingram? Hope he's working on his post up game. He should have some nice room to work with too.
To be fair, he's not playing in summer league, and he's a 1 year rental, so..not a lot to immediately look forward to. We won't see the guy play until September at the earliest and if he's not gone next July it probably means we struck out on PG and others and had to re-sign him to salvage a bomb of an offseason. :MozgovYell:
It's not impossible that we keep him. If we shed Randle, Clarkson, and Deng without taking on salary, we could get Lopez back as the third guy with George and LeBron. He'd have to take a deal probably below his value, but I bet you he would if he could play with Lonzo, George, and LeBron. Also in that order.
