Whoa, since when have we become desperate? The situation hasn't changed; the Pacers are the ones that are desperate. Including both Randle and Clarkson is playing right into the Pacers' hands. I wouldn't trade more than JC and fillers, unless you enjoy being a sucka.
I'll be honest. I absolutely hate having to wait a year. Just for selfish reasons I want that superstar now.
I don't love giving up Randle AND Clarkson in order to get PG but realistically I do it to get him now and be able to get his Bird's rights and keep him away from the C Bags. Bottom line is that even though I like Randle I'm not sure he fits here long term since he hasn't shown he can shoot or play decent D. If you you need to give them both up so be it. I'd rather not lose Hart though if we are losing Clarkson, and I'd hope to keep Nance if we give up Randle. I guess we'll see what happens.
No one is bringing up the better we are next year the worse the pick the C Bags get. Trade for PG now
http://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/...george-leading-contender-land-carmelo-anthony I hate Cleveland. Cleveland, Indiana, and Denver rumored to be working on a trade for PG, Love and Denver parts.
Let's be honest here. If PG goes to Cleveland, the rest of the eastern conference will have the best time and opportunity to rebuild. A 5-year rebuild program because I'm seeing this through, he'll be staying there and there's no sense in trying to compete against arguably 3 of the top 5 players in the east in one team. Curry-Durant is as scary as it can get but having two of the best two-way players in the league as teammates? James-George sounds outrageous to me. If it happens, either or both of them can let their team struggle for that 8th seed in the east and easily sweep all of them in the playoffs. George-James-Irving vs Curry-Durant-Thompson-Green Now we have a final series. The point is, PG would get the best, most ideal, competitive environment he can only dream of before in going to Cleveland. And I'm gonna go out on a limb and say, they will get that ring back immediately and maybe even more. So, tick tock. What do we do? Do we continue with this rebuild and forget about PG? Look for other FA next season? Ball the dad is predicting a playoff season anyway so that's a good sign. Sent from my E6533 using Tapatalk
PG's idol is Kobe, He doesn't want to go to Cleveland to be Lebron's b****. Even if they win a title he's coming home to build his own legacy.
That is speculative. We can spend the whole day arguing about it but it can only be proven til it happens. Possibility is the entire opposite may happen, and Cavaliers beating the Warriors would reverse PG coming to LA however hell-bent he once was. But we'll see. Sent from my E6533 using Tapatalk
By all reports even if we improve our trade Pritchard doesn't sound like he wants to help the Lakers. If anything, trading him to CLE is just another way he can stick it to the Lakers.
I agree, they hate our guts probably way worse than George putting them in this position with his and his agent's course of action. Bird gone but the remnants of the C bag Lakers rivalry surely coloring the way Indy looking at things, influencing the outcome on his way out.
You and I both know "can score and play D" is a major understatement. Green can score and play D. Sefolosha can score and play D. Ahmm... But they're not in the same league. I was about to give you a long list of players that are both a great scorer and an elite defender then I realized, it's a very short list. LeBron Kahwi PG Butler --- DONE! Others are great offensive players with great defensive teammates. While most are either just defenders or scorers. Sent from my E6533 using Tapatalk
