The farm? JC/Randle/Nance/1st round pick is not the farm. It's like Warriors fans crying about losing Barnes/Bogut/Barbosa for Kevin Durant. The former has the ability to keep you in games, the latter (KD/PG) go out and win you games and a title in KDs case. You can replace JC/Randle/Nance you can't replace KD/PG. And I don't care if PG wants to come here next year for free, those players are going to get dumped for everyone's favorite player cap space anyway.

You said any of the Lakers draft picks excluding Lonzo Ball. That would include Brandon Ingram and Ivica Zubac wouldn't it?

doc was implying any of this year's picks, save lonzo. and i agree.

clarkson/randle/kuzma/hart/bryant/nance are all on the board for george. my only stipulation is that it can't include BOTH nance and randle. pick one.

but yeah, i hate risking all the things that can happen in a calendar year. like a player of george's stature trying to come to la (which was unthinkable one year ago).

Oh my god, frickin' do it. If we trade Clarkson and Randle plus filler for PG, we go into the 2018 offseason with Ball, Ingram, Paul George, room for nearly two max contracts plus whatever remains of Nance, Zu and whomever else we didn't trade for PG. YES.

Understood. Thanks. Rather not give up both Randle and JC, but whatever it's for Paul George. As long as those other guys are off the table I'm fine with it.

JC and JR on the table for PG is a no brainer. If they insist on Zubac I'd be okay with that but they just can't have all 3.

At the end of the day it's potential with Zubac. There's no guarantee he'll be an All Star center or one that can play in Luke's offense.

You can say the same for Brandon and Lonzo.

Yeah, I'm still in favor of getting George right now if you can keep Ingram and Lonzo. Too many things can happen in a year. If he gets traded to Cleveland, I bet his camp plays it safe, denies all these reports about him only wanting to go to LA, and publicly says he's open to re-signing with Cleveland.

Yes really. Lonzo hasn't started a game.

Ingram struggled most of his rookie season.

They all can be stars in this league which is why I'm not in favor of including them in a deal.

you can, but at least they're not trying break in with skillsets that are somewhat anachronistic.

Just watch and thank me later.

Ingram came on strong the final 2 months. Ball is a star in the making. I'm sorry but I trust my ability to judge talent.

Yeah he came on strong. Zubac also showed flashes of brilliance.

Of course you do. You think you're an NBA scout.

It makes sense for Cleveland because they have a better shot at winning one more title before Gilbert takes the house down. This is Cleveland. Fans there would live off those 2 titles for the next 100 years.

Paul George still comes to LA regardless.

Nope. Why would I want to be a scout. I'm just a fan that watches. Just happen to see talent in players a lot sooner than others.

In a twisted way I would actually root for the C Bags to beat them in the ECF haha

Then for C Bags to lose to Warriors

Even if the C Bags beat the Cavs, they'll get waxed by the Warriors.

Come on. Chaz was a consultant on many of scouting trips, making margaritas for Jim and watching Summer league games on the T.V. in the bar.
