I still don't like the way his face moves when he talks.

Rob has some very nice things to say about Lonzo when he and Magic went to their house and spent time with Lonzo and his family. Impressed with how is with his kids, how he cares for his wife, and mentioned he was training some neighborhood kids around 20 of them that came by and he treated the 20th one like he would his own sons. Left him and Magic really impressed.

Rob said he'll dive into it more tomorrow during Lonzo's intro press conference.

Lavar Ball talked playoffs and I laughed immediately going into my Jim Mora Sr. mode.

You're 100% right... that's Lavar for you. That's why he clowns so much and out thinking people at the same time. That's why I'm a fan of his, it's all fun and games. Love that he said about us making it to the playoffs. The team will look FOOLISH if Ball ends up having a great rookie year and some people disappoint.

With the exception of the other rookies. Everyone HAS to step up.

By my calculations that's half a million dollars in just shoe sales and the kid just got drafted. Not bad for a start-up.

Like him or not he's a great dad to his kids. He has some learning/letting go to do but I think he will come around.

I don't think we'll be in the playoffs, but Lonzo has always elevated his teams to new heights.

I wouldn't discount his ability to do that for the Lakers.

Can't believe Simmons ran his mouth with crazy pills comment...and his sister has severe depression, anxiety and ish. Like that's a slap in the face to people who do have mental illnesses. And a 20 year old punk is gonna disrespect a grown man. What a self entitled lil bit'.
I just noticed too July 20th Simmons will be a 21 year old rookie somhe better bring it VERY quickly. Obviously it'll help playing in the sorry East too so his stats better be superior to Lonzos too.

Simmons is insecure and like buddy Joel, both want the attention on themselves and playing in Philly... a place that will always root for the Eagles,Phillies, heck probably even the Flyers before the 6ers.
What's the 6th letter of the alphabet? F. Shut the eff up young cats and don't speak unless you're spoken too. You don't hear Lonzo talking about other players or others' dad.

So any shoe honks here have an opinion as to whether these look to be NBA or serious basketball quality shoes? I can't tell of course but they don't look very husky or manly to me. Is Lonzo going to be safe and protected enough if he has to wear his own shoe offerings?

I'd vote all these guys wear the Steph Curry type high top velcros. He gets around just fine.

Simmons is eligible to be ROY this coming season and it would be so SWEET when Lonzo wins it!

I speak it into existence my friends!

Since LaVar has already spoken into existence that Lonzo will get drafted by the Lakers and told us they'll make the playoffs with his son can he also tell us when we're back in the NBA Finals?

I wouldn't buy those shoes, but I'm not into high-top shoes unless they're Jordans.

To be honest, if you're a collector, those $1000 shoes are the ones to buy. Signed, in a case, first edition. Smart investment on a young player in LA. Trading cards and signed memorabilia is big business. But actually wearing those shoes? No. Not me. I like the black ones though.

And like Real said, they've made $500,000 so far and he just got drafted. I bet the overhead is no more than $100,000 (and I'm being generous). Everyone is laughing at Lavar as he's cashing checks before sending out a single pair.

Lavar tells the world he and his kids are no ones b****. I admire that. Z02's shoe sells will skyrocket if Zo comes out the gate ballin.

I'm asking if for basketball the shoes are actually high end performers. They look construction wise like something off the shelf in Target sports section. Are all NBA shoes like that? If not then does Lonzo risk his own foot health having to wear his own brand? How about a straight answer to an honest question?
