http://www.indystar.com/videos/spor...-kevin-pritchard-and-pacers-future/103129242/ Interesting stuff. A video there of two Pacers writers. You can clearly sense their frustration with the Pacers unwillingness to trade George. Said the Pacers rebuild was set back not trading him during the draft and not getting extra picks in what is the best draft in a decade. Also they suspect Prichard is lying about multiple deals being on the table believing they're just trying to bait the Lakers into giving up more when in reality they're bidding against themselves.
Most of the GMs would have. There were a number of quality bigs in the league at that time needing to be matched with on the post. No one could have predicted. Wonder if any knew one leg was slightly shorter? That's not something you'd hope for .... LOL.
Pritchard's the only person who thinks it's a good idea to drag the impending trade of PG longer. And the Pacers are screwed since he's actually convinced it's the right thing to do. His issue was not the offers being given but obviously with the player he's sending away. Bird is a genius after all. Walking away knowing this is exactly how things are gonna go. We need to root for Hayward to stay in Utah. If he does I think it takes the C Bags out of the George sweepstakes if they were ever in it.
Great video, seems even everyone in Indiana knows how bad of a situation this is, everyone but Prichard.
naw, I root for Hayward to go somewhere else lol, it'll setback Utah for yrs, eliminating another competitive Western conf team, just like if Clipps were to lose Cp3 to SA, Biff to Bos and Hayward to Hou is what I want to see lol.
Loved that video. And Nate Taylor is the one who the Pacers are using to try to f*** with us by the way. Pacers are screwed. We might not get Paul George, but in the end the Pacers are going to settle for pennies when they could have had quarters. Now I'm inclined to pull all offers until I hear from Mintz that there's someone else sniffing around.
He keeps on saying decision must based on what's good for the organization and yet that same organization were the ones saying the no trade on draft night was not good. Sent from my E6533 using Tapatalk
The writing in clearly on the wall Add their twitter handles to people that we can trust with news coming out of IND.
Pkg Lopez/2 future 1st (with protection)/Bryant for Pg/Anigobu (spelling)....Indy gets a well suited C to pair up with Turner, we trade project for project. I know some will say we need Lopez for the yr but creates very little team building continuity if you know you're just there for the year and we all know for now 99% that Lopez is just here for the yr if he is kept.
Hard to say. If we cleared the deck of everybody and George and LeBron walk through the door, do you just leave? Or do you sign for whatever discount you can and try to win? Who knows?
I would like us to keep Lopez. Him being from California and being stuck on the Nets so long, I think if we show some promise this year and get George and another all-star to come in next year Lopez would probably be happy to take a decent deal and stay.
in ref to Lopez, yes if I were him I would. I'm not selling myself short, he can still get $20mill+/yr from alot of various team, he'd have to settle for vet min or MLE money if James/PG walked through that door.
