Is it me or is his dribble is slow and somewhat basic? He needs to get Hanlen training. Did wonders for JC.
Shedding Swaggy & DLO & bringing in mature, confident, well spoken kids like Ball & Hart.. Liking the new focus on the mental awareness of our players..
Yeah, here is the clip with the final drill that Josh Hart is in. (3rd guy up) He comes each time to a coordinated and not traveling or inconsistent footwork stop with a nice balanced push off for his J. http://www.nba.com/lakers/video/teams/lakers/2017/06/05/1496692693394-170605hart-josh-1462109
Makes me wonder if there's a place for Julius Randle on the squad. High bball IQ is a priority now, and....well....
He's the only guy on the team (don't know about big Brook) who will get right up in someone's grill and talk smack with them. Metta style.
Well let's keep him as a starter and massively overpay him then! In reality, I hope he puts it all together and becomes what we see he's capable of.
really like hart. yeah, his ceiling isn't high, but this is a good guy who knows how to play. i wouldn't bet against him. as much as the russell trade annoyed me, i'm glad the russell/young contingent is out of here in terms of locker room conditions.
He said in his interview that he worked to make his shot smoother which is good. His shot looked like it took a lot out of him in college. It was slow-ish and had a big hitch in it. It looks smoother in his shooting video.
Nice looking player. Obviously finishes well with contact, crafty, and can get to the basket. Should be another nice find late in the draft.
Kuzma and Hart makes JC and Randle expendable. I hope that Randle can figure out his shot and work on his off hand this summer. If not, he will be a wasted talent and won't be here long.
I've seen a few posters mention this point, and I think there's a lot of merit to it. I've run numbers on our cap space next summer, and in order to sign two max superstars, we cannot keep both Clarkson and Randle. If we want to resign Lopez too for a reasonable contract, then both Clarkson and Randle have to go. Obviously Deng must go or get stretched. So my guess is Magic and Rob are planning for next summer so we won't have only seven players (Ball, Ingram, Nance Jr, Zubac, Randle OR Lopez, superstar 1, and superstar 2) on the roster meaning we now need to sign 7 vet minimum players. After the draft, we now have potentially 10 players after the plan unfolds (Ball, Ingram, Nance Jr, Zubac, Kuzma, Hart, Bryant, Randle OR Lopez, superstar 1, and superstar 2) with a need to sign only 4 vet minimum players, which is far more feasible. Of course I could be wrong and the rookies are shipped out this season. We will have to wait and watch Magic and Rob's plan unfold.
Let's not go nuts here, Randle has averaged a double double in the NBA, Kuzma hasn't played a game yet. I do think Hart has the potential to make JC expendable very quickly though. His game looks very similar to JC's only more under control and he appears to be a smarter defender.
I think this was a great pick up, alot of intangibles . Some of the media say he can turn out into a Malcom Brogdan type player, totally OK with that!!
even with Randle/JC warts, people get to caught up in the moment. Hart/Kuzma aren't making those 2 expendable when they haven't even done anything in the league yet, just like Nance didn't make Randle expendable.
I'm not sure we're looking at Kozuma to replace Randle. Probably more Nance. We got a lot of power forwards right now though. Can't see us keeping all of them and the quotes about the team make me think Randle is one of the odd men out.
