Well that word made me run to dictionary.com.... [IMG] Now I know but I'm not telling. [IMG] Last couple of lines seem a wee bit harsh. I think I see him trying hard when he's out there but I suppose like anything else, effort is in the eyes of the beholder.

Yes it is harsh, perhaps brutally so. With this season, Kobe's injury and struggles, even the Nash shut down, the Randle injury, Byron's fallibility as a coach and a manager of veterans I guess anger gets directed somewhere - sorry Lin (I don't hate him at all just not fond of seeing him play for us anymore). But the core of it is true. Lin has disappointed, reaching far below his ability (not hype but talent) and seemed to not want to take hold of the reigns. For him to fail to be worthy of a starting position, and to barely be able to hold a place with the bench without being timid and turnover prone is abysmal. I may have overstated it but essentially I was saying I wanted no part of Lin next year on the Lakers. It's as clear as day to me. Price actually forced Lin to the bench, and I know Byron may have had a natural bias for a Price style player, but lin just let it happen - again (a la Beverly) and that is unacceptable.

We know what we've got from Lin: inconsistency and clearly a bench player.

We're in tank mode. It's time to evaluate every single player we've got on our roster. Clarkson prime among them. Lin might get more minutes later, but I definitely expect him to be moved if an opportunity arises.

In light of us being in tank mode no doubt about it and no one would begrudge us as this point, my opinion is Byron should spread the DNP around, and tonight Price should sit. What's the point in trying for slightly, incrementally more defense? It would show Jeremy Byron isn't singling him out. And I don't think he should. I haven't seen any lack of effort from Lin. Sacre got some DNPs as well. But I hope he sits Price tonight. As well since no reason to not trade off with Price, to sit Jeremy tonight against his old team would be embarrassing to him no doubt.

Hey I read in an article today that Clarkson's first start in his career against San Antonio was in his "home town". Though he went to U. of Missouri.

I recall someone saying this when the lakers got him...

I like him. nice guy; plays hard. just definitely suited to a bench role, and even that needs to be on the right team.

I liked what I saw last night. He attacked the rim relentlessly and honestly not in any type of control. It was his aggressiveness that sparked the late run that almost saw us turn the game into a competitive one.

If we're in full evaluation mode, I still want to see him play over Ronnie. Ronnie is a vet and over 30 years old. He doesn't fit with us anymore.

We need to at least get a 2nd round pick for him. If that's all we get, we have to remember we already got a 1st round pick for taking him.

I don't see a future for him here with JC looking like a keeper and the constant interest of the Lakers in getting a PG.

Sell on him, even if his value is low.

Really hope we don't bring Lin back. Depending on who we draft with our lottery pick and the fact that we have Clarkson to play backup to Russell or Dragic means there is no need for Lin. Ellington who I hope and think we will bring back will be a great backup to Kobe. He's certainly earned it.

I have no desire to see Lin in a Lakers jersey and I think he has no desire to be here. He and Scott don't see eye to eye and the offense doesn't fit him that well. He can go back to Houston this summer.

Have to admit have been disappointed more than a little with Lin's consistency. When he is good he's good. Just seems like if he is not in a warm fuzzy place mentally, something Byron's definitely not doing for him, he can't sustain reasonably high quality performance game to game to the best of his abilities. I like him and I think he does his damndest out there with effort. Just may be too sensitive or not enough confidence. Then again, bouncing around from teams and the scapegoating last year in Houston by that clique of players and now no nonsense Scott..... I certainly could understand it.

I think he's a good kid, but he's fooling himself. He reminds me a little of Tebow. He thinks he's destined for some great thing and he thinks something is just going to fall into his lap and he'll be in the right place.

Sometimes you have to adapt and work at being something different. I wouldn't mind him back, but only in a limited bench role. Someone else will offer him more money and I'm fine with that.

    Huge disappointment.

All I liked about getting Lin when it happened was the draft picks that Jim and Mitch got with him,......for nothing...It ate up 8 mil in cap space that could have been used for a better player, or players, but that may have made this team a 30 win team instead of a top pick lottery team. He's been just terrible, for a guy in a contract year on a losing team just dying for a leader, scorer, facilitator he has shown what he has to offer.
