I can't believe we are still sitting here waiting for this deal to happen. I keep trying to put myself in Indy's shoes, but it makes my brain run in circles. I feel like they are delaying the inevitable and/or in denial at this time... time to cut their losses and dump PG to avoid a very bitter season/first half of the season.
After the Pacers took Leaf and Ike kind of takes out Randle/Nance to trade with them. All we really have left is Clarkson and things they can't have (Ball, Ingram, Zu). Even if we wanted to trade our recent draft picks we took PF/C and a shooter we need. Really has to be a 3 team deal now. Our since the GM just put PG on blast, PG needs to say LA now and really demand it.
Wolves get Jimmy Butler for bag of chips and a half empty soda while we're still trying to get this done. Lord...
I think Indy is determined to not "lose" on a PG trade, and they realized you can't lose a trade that you never make...
Like I said, he's sticking it to us. But with these statements, more so to PG. I like the synergy, mutual respect and love. Sent from my E6533 using Tapatalk
The offers will only get worse in the future... Teams would have given up draft picks tonight for a year rental with hopes of changing George's mind over the season. Nobody is giving up draft picks and valuable players at the trade deadline for a less than half the season rental. I hope he walks and the Pacers get nothing.
Indy sounds like they think offers will improve the longer they wait. And painting PG to be the villain here. Good luck trying to attract future FAs.
I'll be blunt; Paul is going to end up somewhere else and if that somewhere is a winning environment, which he made clear is his number 1 priority, I don't feel good about our chances of recruiting of him next year to Los Angeles. Indiana isn't doing him any favors...
Yea, gonna be a fun year out there in Indy, then he will walk... like I said, delaying the inevitable. The thing is, Indy loses either way {RushDelivery}. Not like they will be contenders anyway, they may as well forfeit the season and move on from PG now. Save themselves the embarrassment, he is already out the door, figuratively speaking.
It won't. They could have had a really solid player in Randle and chosen 2 players THEY wanted from a surprisingly good pool left still at 27/28, but now they'd have to want the guys WE wanted. I think they blew it, but hey I'm biased.
IMO, it doesn't happen (with us). He has about a week to make a trade with someone else. Summer League starts in 2 weeks. Tick Tock. Tick Tock. No pressure. If he doesn't make a trade and PG stays all year and walks, he should be fired. No excuse for not getting some picks, players, cap space. Disservice to his team and fan base. Didn't he used to be a good GM in Portland ?
I keep telling you guys, randle and clarkson are buttplugs to everyone in the league but laker fans. Lakers get george now only in a 3 or 4 team deal. Nothing will happen straight up.
