Possibly but no team wants to give up too much for potentially a 1-year rental. It's too risky.

Spurs are the only team. They can risk. Cavs are out because PG doesn't want to go there.

Spurs scare me the most. Pop, Kawhi and a "decent" track record.

They don't have any assets to trade.

Then perhaps they'll settle with something less from other teams just to stick to us. Screw them.

    Kwame AND Marc.

Don't think the Spurs have a Marc Gasol lying around anywhere.

i don't see the pacers doing anything to "spite" PG because that could damage their reputation when it comes time to sign FA's

i mean sure, they could take a crappy offer just so PG doesn't get his way but good luck trying to sign any big name FA's after treating your franchise player like that

weird, if the pacers want 2 first rounds, don't they trade PG already and decide on how they pick in 3 hrs?

Players of PG comes only once in a blue moon for the Pacers. I still have to think of one time they actually have acquired a player of his equal via FA in recent years. So I don't think it'll bother them that much.

That's why they may just keep PG instead if they decide to take the irrational route out of spite. That gives them plausible deniability to hide the fact that they didn't want to do the Lakers or PG any favors.

Still, I'm hopeful the Pacers are just waiting to the last moment to swallow the Lakers offer as distasteful as that may be for them. They need to face the facts and admit they lost, and take whatever they can get before the offers get even worse.

Alright, I'm done stalking the twitterverse for the first report.

I'll wait for the ESPN notification on my phone and come back here later.

WOJ failing to deliver the biggest baddest anticipated 'wojbomb' in this year's summer trade negotiations. No thanks to the Pacers.

If I am Indiana, I do what is best for the Pacers.

No boss likes to have terms dictated to him by an employee. If there is a way for a team like San Antonio to involve a third team in the trade, it very well could happen. (Sacramento)

And if it does, PG may find himself in a situation he does not want to leave and will experience a lot of success at. There are no guarantees in this business, except that we are signing Westbrook next year as a free agent LOL

I'm wondering the same thing. Seems like there'd be more movement involved then. Maybe they in turn flip those picks somewhere else for a player they'd rather have?
