I'd much rather wait than give up too much right now. I'm loathe to give up Randle to make it happen, but if that's what it takes to get PG now I'll live with it. Zu is a no deal scenario to me. I'm ok with Nance going out but not Nance and Randle because we'll have gutted the PF position. Ideally Clarkson, and the two late picks gets it done. Maybe add Nance.

What could that be though? Is he a raging alcoholic? Drugs would be illegal. Hookers would be illegal. What could be so bad they are willing to give up on a guard who posted historical numbers for his age/position, yet not bad enough to be illegal?

And since when does the media give two s***s about someone's personal life, especially if they are a celebrity?

Let's be real, Sacramento might be that team.

    1. They need to fill cap space because no one is going to sign there.

    2. They could get a first rounder (or two) from us for it in exchange for 1 of theirs.

Media ARE the hookers. They dont care about personal lives. Neither does the dead brain zombies whom watch it. That's why E! and TMZ exist. Because you have parasites who will continue to be attracted to the blue light that is someone else's misery and no matter how many take the plunges and burn, there are always more flying in.

Emplay was tweeting yesterday that if George wants to be traded here, he and his agent have to lean on the Lakers or nothing "button" and stay on it. If this info is true, that appears to be the case, and certainly hope it is. I want George, but they have no leverage, so I want him for "peanuts".

Reason 1 is not even a legitimate reason. They could sign a nobody for a big 1+1 year deal if they wanted to fill cap space.

By telling the league he is a rental, he is telling Indy that he wants LA and only LA. I think George will be a Laker before tomorrow. I have a good feeling about it. The only way it doesnt happen is if Indy sells him low to a crappy team just to spite him.

The Pacers would be dumb to wait for the trade deadline.

The best they're going to get will come before Thursday.

Don't know what the Pacers are doing.

They have ZERO leverage. Yet they continue to drag this out.

They aren't getting Lonzo Ball or Brandon Ingram. Should've just taken D'Angelo Russell.

Nobody is giving anything up for a one year rental when it's become clear that Paul George would only extend long term with the Lakers.

Have to play hard ball. There appears to be NO OTHER OPTION for the Pacers but to accept the crumb that we are offering.

Or it would be interesting to watch PG don that #13, play for them all year long while knowing they're virtually watching a Laker disguising as a Pacer. PG will have full 82 games and maybe even more as practice for his homecoming. It's their call.

I think it's pretty obvious what the Pacers are doing: Trying desperately to create the tiniest bit of leverage they can to ensure the best possible deal. PG's camp stripped their leverage away down to the bone. Kevin Pritchard is smart and is going to do anything to better position his team to get the most he can out of a PG deal, which won't be much, but saying "we don't HAVE to trade him now" as well as trying to create a bidding war are attempts to do just that. It's smart.

Pacers had to posture here to see if we would blink. I'm fine with using either Randle or Clarkson to get this done.
