Or just pay him and keep him because he's a unique talent. I get both sides of the coin, I just have a hard time accepting that after all our struggles we end up with Paul George and less kids than we anticipated. Maybe we were all fools, but it still stings.

I know you post things for reactions, but it's not funny or insightful. Trading your best young talent who's making peanuts doesn't make the team better.

Yeah. Look, if he comes, I will root for us to win and hope there's nothing to worry about.

We suffered thru that awful season, and as a reward we have a late 1st round pick and an expiring

I think we need to take a step back and try to think about this rationally and honestly.

    Breath in...breath out.

Now let's ask the real question.

Who's wife in the Laker organization did Russell sleep with?

For his level of talent and upside to be sent out in salary dump, my guess is Cookie Johnson

Lopez is a good player and will stretch the floor and he's going to give the team $22mm in cap space. Sorry I don't see anything wrong with that. I'm sorry you had so much riding in DLo but obviously management thought differently.

If DLo was so great you'd think the team would get a bigger return ... maybe he's not that good after all.

The Kam Brothers don't necessarily subscribe to the narrative, but this is what the Lakers passed on.

I remember being so excited for Russell to come over here, he really had his first full year last year due to the Kobe Farewell tour, and I was excited to see what he had to offer this upcoming season. BUT, like many of you have said, I don't know whats going on behind the scenes, so I'm just gonna roll with the punches and trust that they're making the right decisions..

I don't think you subscribe to that narrative either so this isn't directed to you. But that narrative is absolute BS.

Russell will be an all star and he will torch us for years to come. Glad he's in the East.

I was never a fan of D'Angelo Russell. It was obvious to me that he was lacking mentally, where it matters most. I suggested a Russell + Deng trade earlier, but I guess it was impossible to shed Deng. Hopefully we land PG13 with the pieces we acquired. With Russell gone, I wouldn't want to part with JC. And I'm definitely not trading Randle, Zubac or Ingram (what I consider our Big 3)

Let's still wish DLo the best of luck. The C bags own the Nets 2018 pick, so the Nets winning will give the C Bags a lower pick.

Anyone think that maybe DLO running the Team was a deterrent to Veteran Free Agents joining the Lakers..??

That's literally the only saving grace.
