That's actually not a huge difference.

But the ESPN spin would be great.

LLLLLEBRON had HARDER first round opponents than Michael ever had!!!

Nothing about the champs. Just excuses for the Kang.

I'll be rooting for Golden State again next year, or San Antonio if they somehow pull off the upset.

This "you must have rings" discussion started with the media who obsessed compulsively over Jordan. They elevated him to unprecedented levels and it took them 25 years to realize what they'd done. They'd now made it impossible to appreciate other players for their greatness and forced everything to be viewed in a glass prism that they created. So when the kid they wanted to be Jordan couldn't live up, suddenly their whole story changed. It's not about rings, it's about accomplishments. Oh really? Where was that attitude when Kobe was dominating the league?

Where was that when Laker fans brought up Magic and Kareem? Kareem has all the same accolades as Jordan, but went to the Finals 4 more times and suddenly that's a bad thing? Where was that when Kobe went to more Finals than Jordan? All this "GOAT" nonsense poisoned the well and now the media has to find a way to dance around it so they can still praise their boy LeBron.

If it's all about the journey, then Jordan isn't the greatest and you can't say that without people breaking out in hives.

    Oh hey, another one.
So it doesn't matter how many rings you have, just how many finals you've been to (in the leastern conference albeit).

WUT?? Now it's all good with that many losses just because he's come out of the weak East 7 times? That's the reality not this gloss that he's been in the "Finals" 7 times. Even then 6 of those appearances were courtesy of his Super Team in Miami and 3 more with the stacked Cavaliers squads that Gilbert allows him to dictate who has to be signed and paid. In the weak East! Now that LeBron's GM capabilities have come up short and KD is set to take a quantity of championships run at him, LOL he will take off and go elsewhere to try to be a winner with someone else's team.

Folks didn't start hating MJ until LeBron came along., didn't matter who challenged his career accomplishments, they made sure to protect his career as much as they could. Especially Kobe, which imo drove this entire thing regarding making LBJ the new golden boy. Titles mattered a whole heck of a lot when it came to other players, especially Laker players, now it's all about stats and the effort?

That's why I hate the MVP award now too.

Bron would definitely have the physical edge over Larry but I think Larry's mental edge may put him over the top.

The only time Wade lost was with Lebron as his sidekick.

You know how many times I've heard "Kobe only has 2 rings. Those first 3 are Shaqs." ??? But the same nonsense isn't applied to Wades 3 rings.

Wade prime was really short ... He wasn't really in it anymore during his 9th season in 11-12 and definetely not the season after.

He was the better Heat in the 11 Finals though whereas Lebron finished 3rd in scoring behind him and Bosh ... and 3rd in usage rate .

I've gone at a few Bronsexuals the past few days. It's amazing the pass this guy gets from his fans and the media.

To me, a player must possess the following qualities to be mentioned in the GOAT conversation.

    1) Team accomplishments (ie rings)
    2) Personal accomplishments (ie stats, awards)
    3) Influence and impact to the game of basketball (globalization, taking the game to new heights)

Lebron has 2) but MJ, Kobe, Magic, and Kareem kills him in 1) and 3). Sorry but it's not even close. MJ is the GOAT followed by the 3 Lakers.
