I'm not sure that's the case. I've already seen more than one talking head enamored with LeBron claim that there is no way Golden State would have won this Finals without KD. On the PG to Cavs thing: I could see Indy accepting something like Love + Frye + picks for PG13 + Al Jefferson. Indy gets to dump Jefferson, and gets someone in Love who will put up numbers, sell some tickets and be a nice stretch PF to play with Myles Turner. They're not going to get value for PG13 no matter what. This is a workable solution since Indy has ZERO chance at making the Finals as long as LeBron is playing.
You do that and the Pacers get to see George at least four times a year in a Cavs jersey... I don't know. I just don't really see that as an appealing return and destination for the Pacers.
A) George has never even hinted at joining the Cavs. B) As Real said why would you trade George to the East. C) Lebron is getting older, and he and Kyrie are very ball dominant and Vince Carter said George is ball dominant himself. D) Trade only happens if George agrees to a long term extension, without one the Cavs dont risk their farm. E) ? F)?
So the Pacers get Love who has already shown he can't lead a team or be a consistent #2..... And low value pieces? And the Pacers are supposed to let PG go in division to watch him spank them 4 times a year for the foreseeable future? It just doesn't make any sense for the Pacers to take back less than ideal pieces when they should be rebuilding and not meddling for the 8th seed. Love for Melo is the trade I see happening because.....Lebron.
if PG goes to the Cavs over us he will no longer be one of my favorite players that is not a Laker. Plus do the Cavs even have enough space to get PG?
If PG transfers to any team other than LAL, I'm done with him. I mean I've been following the guy as a Pacer and as an avid if not the biggest fan of Kobe ever. I like his game but more than that, it's the hope that he'll be coming home eventually that made me stick with him. Come on PG. Transferring to Cavs for a title? You're better than that. Wait, I have to call Kobe and tell him to settle this once and for all. Seriously, one word from Mamba and it's a done deal! Sent from my E6533 using Tapatalk
Indy can trade of where ever they want, they're under no requirements to make pg happy, if any team gives up enough to entice Indy n is willing to lose him in fa, that's not George fault
Which would bring us back to Cavs. Coz if we're gonna stick to PG transferring to compete for a title, the only reasonable option available is The Cavs or maybe Spurs... Anywhere else just wouldn't make sense. Sent from my E6533 using Tapatalk
Sure but they're not getting him without sending out love or kyrie, there's not much value for the rest of that team
Send him home already. Clarkson, 28 and a future pick (MURDER) should cut it. It's not like the Pacers will have any alluring offer coming their way. Sent from my E6533 using Tapatalk
My dude if he gets traded there it doesnt mean he has to agree to an extension. Either way were good IMO.
Apparently the Pacers aren't sure they want to go in rebuilding mode even if/when they lose PG13 .. I agree with you it wouldn't make sense . Nate Duncan in his latest poscast talked about three team trade scenarios/possibilities if the Pacers want to rebuild ... Anyways , it's more about what Cavs could/should do to match up better with the Warriors than real rumors at this point
I agree. At this stage I feel like Indiana is going to see where they're at around FA. See if they can make any moves or improve anything. If not, then open the books and start figuring out where to go.
LeBron's going to make Gilbert sell all his family's souls to the devil this off season, then not win a ring again and leave next summer. LOLOLOLOL
