like lebron said after the cavs lost game 3, they have to play an A++ game to win and thats exactly what they just did in game 4. lets see them do that 3 more times. i will say this however that if the cavs win on thursday and go back to cleveland for game 6...id be very worried as a GS fan Most importantly though like I've said before, I had my last (sports) summer ruined by the cavs win lets not make it another plz
Cleveland hit 24 three pointers. If they hit 16 threes (still a very high number) they lose by 3. Warriors in 5.
Thing is, they don't have to. If Cle wins the next game, Dubs will start to crumble and if it goes 7, Dubs are toast.
It will close until the by the middle of the 3rd when the Dubs turn on the afterburners. Game...set...match.
Cleveland players not named Lebron and often Kyrie play much better at home than on the road ... Game 5 is more on GS ... to choke or not to choke ...
I think Cle will try their best but KD is going to drop 40+ on these boys. If GS gets ahead by 15 or so in the 3rd qtr it will be a blowout. Lebron quits when its down. Although Kyrie doesn't have that in him. In the end, I think GS celebrates on their court.
didn't watch the whole thing, but it seemed several calls went gs's way there (in the video), invalidating its title. i did think that the first quarter officiating was heavily pro-cavs, but that can happen at home in big playoff games. and the cavs were hitting everything, so i'm not sure it mattered. did set a tone, though. had this ended up a close game, i would have felt funny about how it started. they shot 20+ fts, some of them at opportune times, and i didn't think gs was getting the same quick whistle on the other end.
How can you say the title is invalid? Whether the calls were in favor of the warriors or cavs should be irrelevant. If the calls were bad, then one could argue the outcome of the game was effected by the refs regardless of what the end result was and that the refs are to blame. Effecting the game can be anything from who won or lost, or what the total points scored were etc
because it's clear in its implication. if the intention was simply to say the game was poorly officiated, the author could have plainly stated that. but the title was: Game 4: Was officiating to blame? Subtitle in freeze frame: How the nba put away the brooms. to blame for what, exactly? the outcome of the game. the nba put away the brooms? meaning they orchestrated the outcome such that cleveland would win. again, it's pretty clear. not even sure why you're coming at me with this, really.
Its funny because i didn't watch the whole game either but stumbled in and saw most of the 3rd and part of the fourth. I thought Cle was def getting the better end of the officiating. I thought at the time GS has no chance to get back into this if these foul calls are going to look like this. One set of plays in particular made me thing that on one end GS was attacking the rim (can't recall who it was) and defender and offensive player collide. It was clear block from the comforts of my couch. Clev gets the call. Not the worst call ever made but still when a team is battling that is an offense killer. The other end Lebron has the ball and Steph is on him. Bron attacks, lowers that shoulder, sticks out that arm and hits steph dead center of his chest. Foul on steph. Of course there are million calls a game and I am sure GS got the benefit of a few whistles too but it did seem like it was much more tilted Cavs favor. On the other point, the NBA had no desire for a sweep. I don't think they rigged the game for the King not to get swept mind you but I am sure they were happy as hell overall that the series is going back to GS.
first off my man (assuming you are one), your posts are prob my favorite on this forum. i always know before i read your posts that they came from you. with that said, i was not aware of the subtitle "put away brooms" and had i have been i wouldnt have "came at you." carry on, *inadvertent whistle*
They shot a combined 8 FT in the last 3 quarters. GS ended w more. If you want to say the game was decided in the 1st, that's a lot of yalls MO's. I saw at least 3/4 of the fouls pretty legit. Maybe one or two were blatant bad calls, but I guess you're assuming that GS never got a call in their favor?
Is that for real??? For that arm flail early in the game when his arm was being held to start? And Lebron kicks Andre square in the package following through on his J plain as day??? Why, because Iggy didn't flop? James would still be rolling around on the floor 2 days later holding his balls. Tell us you're kidding please!
