Pincus says the pacers haven't put out feelers and the draft is 2 weeks away. Most likely they don't move him this year (or at least until trade deadline).

Brooklyn and Sacramento will be way under the cap.

They need some contracts or they face penalties.

So taking Deng/Moz wouldn't hurt them and they might want to do it if they get something of value along with it.

That would be more than I'd be willing to give up.

I don't agree, but we could test it out and see what they're interested in.

It would help us open up a max slot...

I don't understand why you think Brook can be have for pennies. He's Brooklyn's best player and they'd want at least draft picks or a maybe JC.

And if they want to get rid of him, I'm sure they can do better than a lesser player with a longer contract.

Yes salary floor but they can also sign a free agent to a big 1 and 1 deal if they needed.

I don't mind a draft pick. I don't mind JC. I don't even mind both. My suggestion was Moz, Black, and a pick. I don't give up Nance ALONG WITH the pick, JC, and other pieces. If that's pennies compared to the other suggestions, it's about 90 pennies, which is almost a dollar :)

Yeah but nobody wants to carry 90 pennies in their pocket. Give me a half dollar, a quarter and nickels.

I think any of these would work:
    Moz, Nance, 28th
    Moz, JC, 2nd round

Luckily we have several future second round picks to play with too.

Do you think those are more appealing to Brooklyn than Moz, Black, and 28? Or next year's first, which should be better for them?

Yes I do. Black is the inferior to JC and Nance.

We don't have a first next year if I recall correctly.

Losing Nance would suck, but clearing 16-18 mil plus JCs contract and getting a productive center would do wonders for the team, especially if Ball translates well his first year.

Black is, I think uncontroversially, a better player than JC. He's been in the top 32 centers in DRPM the last two seasons, moving up to 20th last year. His PER puts him right at league average. If you consider those two things, he's a league average Center. JC is a 13.1 PER last season, 14.5 in his career, so he's below average on O. He was 89th of 91 qualified PGs last season in DRPM, 60th of 68 the year before. He's obviously one of the very worst defenders at the PG spot. Combine those, and he's a middle of the road backup, a guy who should be making about 6-8M a season.

Two years is okay, too. Our pick PROBABLY won't be better than 28.

FWIW, I'd ship JC in a heartbeat.

They'd probably want a mix of young guys on cheap contracts.

JC,Nance,Robinson, future 2nd and Moz for Lopez is as best as you're gonna get it.

    Ball or Fox/Ennis
    Russell/Rookie(#28)/Nwaba
    Ingram/Deng/Nwaba
    Randle/Black
    Lopez/Zu

The key to this roster is though, how much money we would have available.

THEN once we're at this point, we can possibly take #28,Black,Nwaba and Deng for hopefully a solid 6th man.

Uh, Zubac is Croatian. Mosgov is Russian.

He's talking about Zubac's relationship with Nance, not with Mosgov.

    Yes, thank you TIME.

Nance and Zubac have a running joke/banter where Nance calls Zubac his son.
