The side you have your back to, whilst ball-watching, flat-footed, with your hands down...Einstein Randle.

Say if you saw someone tomorrow wearing a lakers jersey that said George and #13 in the back. What would your reaction be and the thought process consist of?

I think 24 is possible if Kobe decides 8. Or 8 if Kobe likes 24.

Kobe can't have two numbers retired. Whichever is left shall be PG's #.

I don't think he will have two numbers "officially" retired, but it will be an unspoken rule that neither is up for grabs. I think Kobe will want 24 in the rafters though. That's his "I'm the unquestioned leader of this team" number. I remember that the number 99 was sort of off limits for every hockey team in the league, even when Gretzky was still playing. They later made it official that the number was retired league wide, but it will probably be something like that for both of Kobe's digits.

PG probably would not feel right about taking one of Kobe's numbers. Besides he wouldn't want Kobe maybe starting up with those "chippy" elbows of his when they're working out together. ;)

I think George would want his own number. I'd assume it'd be something close to Kobe's though. Maybe a #9 or a #25.

    Well, you think wrong.

The only reason he used that 24 is because of Kobe. He's a guy who would gladly play as a shadow of Kobe. And anything that would connect him to his basketball God, he'd take it.

I hope Kobe decides #8. So PG can go back to his PG24 moniker.

I know he changed his number, but he doesn't play in LA. Playing in LA with that guy's number is a different story.

Willing to put a friendly wager on it?

Something easy. If he lands in LA and wears one of Kobe's numbers, I'll change my name to "PGinLAisAlwaysRight".

If he comes to LA and doesn't wear one of Kobe's numbers, you put "therealdeal is always right" in your signature.

If he doesn't come to LA, nothing happens and we go on with our lives. :D

That'd be something if I've actually been married. No child either. None that I know of.
