Booker surprised me but I got into a lengthy debate after year 1 for both saying I think Booker was the better player with more upside left. Obviously it helps that he got the green light in Phx. But at the same time Booker never came across to me as "lazy"

Porzingis is solid. Hernangomez's advanced numbers are just about the same though - and his per whatever are as good, too. The Knicks suck, but being a big there helps your stats.

Booker can score. That's all. He can and will hopefully improve, but Russ is a better player now and going forward.

Sure OK no problem but I kinda feel like the one schmo who is pulled over by the cop for doing 76 on the freeway when everyone else is doing 75 as relates to the way we pointedly but good natured talk around here all the time. Thought tradegasm was humorous not insult and who hasn't seen in someone's jock referenced here before.

That's why I linked the Rules thread. Barns specifically mentions the jock kind of insults. You are free to be pointed. You are of course free to be good natured. No one is free to cross the line. I try to consistently point out the rule violations when I see them. If I miss any, I'm always glad if someone gives me a heads up.

Yep. You should. Lately it became borderline trolling too.

And there is a vast difference between "baby boomers" and "millennials" (aside from the fact that the latter is not a thing).

All of this talk has been extremely consistent. His father aside, there are no big character issues on Ball as far as anyone can find. He seems like a really great kid.

    Thanks for posting.

No problem. I think he will 'wow' in workouts; cementing himself as the number 2 pick. Just feels like fate.

It does. I think the team will find a way to make him work and show his competitiveness. It's easy to see though on film that he wants to win and when his number is called he generally steps into that spotlight eagerly.

Still, I'm glad to hear the Lakers are working hard to schedule workouts for everyone.

I've been gone a few days, but seeing that Dennis Smith news tells me something though: they're open to trading down and prepared to do that if they have to. There's no way you take Smith at #2 in this draft.

Did you go on vacation? LOL.

I am all for doing your due diligence. Glad we're keeping our options open.

We can't miss with this draft pick. It's way too important. It is imperative we get it right.

There was an extensive article posted in one of the threads about Lonzo Ball...and his family. I skimmed through it. One line that stood out to me was how Lonzo Ball felt that the tour of Australia earlier this year was such a waste of time to him seeing about "20 Zoos" and wishing he was at the gym instead. That told me what he was all about.

Everything is a smokescreen so the C Bags don't take Ball. We are drafting Ball, it's just a matter of waiting till the draft

I don't believe it for one second. This is what happens when we've had one playoff game in 2 weeks. #FakeNews

Going to say this right now: the only person who is reliable and has high-level sources within the Lakers organization is Kevin Ding, IMO.

He predicted Russell over Okafor; when Woj, who said himself he didn't who the Lakers were selecting when he was asked by Russell and Okafor's agent right before the pick was going to be announced

Unless Ding reports it, I'm not believing it.
