is KD's legacy on the line with this Finals? If GS loses he would of done the Lebron by running to the better team than the one he ran as the go-to guy but didn't win the championship. What does a loss do to KDs legacy?
Obviously he wants to win, but from a legacy perspective, I think he's in a no win situation. Win and you were supposed to Lose and you choked.... again. I like KD, but admit he hasn't received 1/1000th the criticism for not winning, or not winning enough, that LeBron has.
I'd rather have a ring than a "legacy." If Chucks has sucked it up and went to NY, or Utah, or Ewing to Utah, etc etc, any of those superstars who either have no hardware, had sucked it up and accepted that can't beat the Bulls (though Malone and Stockton had 88 to 96 and then 99 03 where MJ wasn't the problem) they could have had rings. KD knew OKC was not going to do it. Everybody who says, but they were on game away from going to the Finals. Yeah, and so were the 02 Kings and they haven't made it out of the 2nd round since.
I had a dream the Cavs were up 2 games to 0. Last night I dreamed they were up 72 to GS's 44. I never wanted a dream to be more wrong lol.
KD will be roasted if he loses this year, but if wins at some point (especially if he wins more that one ring) it will be largely forgotten. Lebron has had numerous failures but it seems like we are the only ones who remember them. If he is 3-4 after this final, that doesn't look GOATish at all, however the mainstream will still be ready to anoint him as #2 GOAT behind MJ.
Not to mention eras. Flopping, whining, drama queen lebron in the 80s might have had an emotional breakdown playing against the physical bruisers. Whereas Bird, omg, imagine him shooting 8-10 3's like players do today.
Sorrry to be that guy again, but pacing matters. Per and FG, that's 100% Bird. But compare each year. In 87, Boston averaged 112 ppg which was 6th. The league his was Portland at 118, and the low was NY and 104. Look at 15. Cavs averaged 103, 8th, but still lower than least potent team in 78. In GS was the tops 110 ppg and NY, again lol, last at 92 ppg. Ya gotta account for inflation, guys. Sorry. NO2:

Yes. The scheduling for the Finals is ridiculous. These guys are used to playing every other day, so what do they do? Stretch it out as long as possible with multiple days. Between each game. Again, this isn't the NFL, they don't need all this rest. Look at this schedule Game 1:Thursday Game 2:Sunday Game 3:Wednesday Game 4:Friday Game 5:Monday Game 6:Thursday THREE games will take almost a week. 2 weeks to get to a game 6. That's insanity. I hope this somehow ends in 4 or 5 and the NBA is screwed out of money and a good Finals series so people freak out about how bad this playoffs was as a whole. End it on the bad note it deserves to end on.
