So.. when do the Finals start, in a month? I mean come on, nobody needs a break this long. I swear these guys are treated like the NFL these days, it's freakin basketball, it's not even physical anymore.
I'm frustrated too, but honestly, it's all about the media. They have to book literally thousands of rooms and rental cars. Tough to do on the spur of the moment. The Finals start date was known before the playoffs started. This was the reason the NBA went to the 2-3-2 format. I'm not sure why they went back to the 2-2-1-1-1 format, but it can't be easy on the media. I'm not saying the media should be the focus, but I do understand their issues with dates and travel.
I don't remember the media being the main focus back when we were in 4 Finals in 5 years or even the last time we went to 3 straight, but I guess the world has changed. Sucks, but it's true.
Chuck played with Hakeem, Pip, Moses, Ainge, Dr J, Cheeks, Scott Brooks, Mario Elie, Kevin Willis, and Drexler. That's people he played with. Underdog can figure out the rest. I don't get paid for this.
Gotcha. But also some other all-stars. I think he played with 7 Hall of Famers. Bron has about 5 (if Love makes it). Kobe? 2.
Yeah.... Shaq played for: Orlando, Lakers, Miami, Phoenix, Cleveland, Boston. And he was teammate of Ron Harper, John Salley, Robert Horry, Ray Allen, Kobe Bryant and LeBron James, which is like 20 years right there. So... not that crazy at all, but pretty amazing. You've got to be a long time player, switch a bunch of teams and play with a lot of journeymen. I've done some work for the 2 players below, but... I would imagine people like Kevin Willis... _________________________________ The same list of Kevin Willis: 2015 - Kerr as coach, SAS, 2003 2014 - Duncan, SAS, 2003 2013 - 2012 - 2011 - Dirk, DAL, 2007 2010 - Mbenga, DAL, 2007 2009 - Mbenga, DAL, 2007 2008 - Doc Rivers as coach, ATL, 1984 2007 - Duncan, SAS, 2003 2006 - Antoine Walker, ATL, 2005 2005 - Duncan, SAS, 2003 2004 - Corliss Williamson, TOR, 2001 2003 - Himself 2002 - Gump, DAL, 2007 2001 - Gump, DAL, 2007 2000 - Gump, DAL, 2007 1999 - Duncan, SAS, 2003 1998 - Kerr, SAS, 2003 1997 - Kerr, SAS, 2003 1996 - Kerr, SAS, 2003 1995 - Tracy Murray, TOR, 2001 1994 - Hakeem, HOU, 1997 1993 - B.J. Eddy won a ship with Miami in 2012. Was teammates with Pippen in Chicago in 2004. Similar thinking for Linton.
Curry was not on the playoff roster, thus he doesn't count. Same Linton. Only play 2 regular season games with the 05 Spurs.
