Part of the beauty in trading for PG now is Indy will be motivated to get something for him. As another poster pointed out they have to start a rebuild so taking in Deng's contract might not be that big of an issue. JC at $13M per for 3 more seasons is a pretty good discount when u look at what Benzmore and Crabbe are making. Throw in the #28 pick and be willing to take back a 1 yr deal like Al Jefferson to lessen the burden of Deng's deal and you might have Indy interested.
If George refuses to play PF, we'd have to bench one of our kids. Either Ball or Ingram is my guess. Probably Ball to start the season.
Ball is starting from day 1. Offensively Lakers will not have a PF. On the defensive end they will have to figure out a scheme if Ingram and PG both start. If JR is on the team he might be the super sub.
If Indy takes back Deng or Moz in a deal, I find to be a huge win for this front office. At this point I think the highest price I'm comfortable with a package centered around Russell. If they take a package centered around Randle we take it and run!
Indy should've took that. The longer they wait, the less they get. Even if those picks were in the 20s, they can package two of them for a 10. 2 Tens will get your #1 overall. And they freed up a ton of $$$$.
if it's not Russell, would you rather package Randle or just wait until 2018? even thinking about the perimeter defense in a Lonzo/Ingram/George lineup gets me excited. I get trigger happy lol
Good problem to have. Ingram should be traded for the right piece ..... Porzingis if Phil is willing. Imagine Dirk and Kidd playing together in their prime ... with say a B version of Kobe. And the Lakers still have DLo!!!
I am jumping on the Ball bandwagon. Might as well get emotionally invested now. I think the Lakers draft him. F*** it. Could be worse. Like not having the pick.
