In flashes, he is but he doesn't have their motor or length

Barkey ..... length? How bout .... girth? Round mound of rebound. I guess with his hops that gave him the "length". Still think if Julius continues to improve on his weaknesses he'll be pretty special. Unfortunately probably not with us. Take Lotus Flower .... not Tiny Dog.

Look at Barkley's wingspan LT, he may be fat and short but he had long arms, unlike our TRex.

I actually think Barkley and Randle might have the same or at least almost the same wingspan. I couldn't find Chuck's wingspan listed anywhere online so I'm going off of photos I looked at. I think the difference is Barkley was like 6'5/6'6 and Randle is like 6'9 so Barkley appears to have longer arms because he's shorter.

Julius is second on my "move list" after Clarkson, if we are to make a trade for a star.

I think Deng is only effective at PF, as is Nance so that position could potentially be covered by Deng and Nance splitting minutes.

Yeah I'm not going to trade Randle because I'm comfortable with Deng at PF.

^I'm not comfortable with Deng at all, even if he is on the bench.

But if I had to choose, then I would rather have him at PF than SF.

If I had to choose, I'd keep him on the bench.

Still torn on Ju. Liked his improvement this year. He still has the same major flaws we've been talking about though - jump shot, right hand, same bullrush move to the basket. He also is still undersized for a 4 IMO.

It's too early to give him up but in the event he plateaus, we will end up selling low and getting little in return. Then again if we draft Lonzo what if he's the right fit?

    Lonzo/D'angelo/Ingram/Randle/Zu

Thats a versatile offensive team, defense meh.

The biggest issue with Julius is the Lakers have to give him a big extension summer 2019 so right now might be the optimal time to trade him.

What's the rush? Aside from a big trade this summer if he's one of the odd guys out. Could play next year and see where he's at. Should be improved some level.

Most importantly is can we see improvement on the defensive end. He had some highlight blocks but normally he seems lost on that side of the court.

Offensively he needs to be more consistent, less of a ball stopper and maybe more back to Thebes's basket moves instead of face ups?

If he weren't so fat, he might be half decent.

    It's a solid joke. :D

But really though conditioning is an issue with Julius.
