Taking my fantasy to here lol Jr/jc/hous 1st for pg13 #1 pick (if we land it)/deng/future 1st for Porzingis Sign ibaka 4yrs 100mill....BAM, at least bottom half of playoff team Dlo Ingram PG13 Ibaka Porzingis Floor spacers all over, especially once Ingram get his rythym from 3s, only weakness is if we get bully balled as i dont think ibaka/kp like getting banged on.
There's no good quote that Porzingis wants out. In fact he's said repeatedly he loves it in New York. He was angry and left early and then recently other teams have asked. He hasn't said he wants out.
Reports are we are willing to give up multiple young players for George. I hope all the people thinking it was going to be Randle, Clarkson and the Houston pick are ready for reality to set in. Russell or Ingram are going out. Maybe with the #3 pick if we keep it.
I read that article from the Yahoo Lakers page, Silver Screen and Roll. They were going off a BSPN article from one quote: “The Lakers will dangle prospects for Paul George.” I think we'll dangle the prospects, but we have the leverage here. They'll ask for a lot, but I don't think Magic or Rob budge. I don't think they'll let Ingram go, but Russell I can see them parting with if they take one of Deng/Moz.
This. Besides "dangling multiple prospects" sounds a lot like Randle, Clarkson, and a pick. Just saying. The only way I see Magic and Rob doing something more drastic is if they've already got a FA lined up to join the team. They're not going to be the Knicks.
In Magic we trust. I can't imagine him starting his career as an executive with the wrong foot. Trust that he knows what he's doing. But I agree. We must offer a quarter of PG's worth and have the Pacers counter with 75. A 50 would then make a good compromise. And the dangling prospects doesn't sound 50 to me. Sent from my E6533 using Tapatalk
The talks is that everyone is available but didnt say what combination of young guys so lets not assume we're emptying the cupboards for pg13...also I didn't realize it but we do have include big salary to make trade work so if it means one of moz/deng is gone, its worth the risk...we wouldve had to pay someone to take them anyway
Not necessarily. PG makes $19 mil next year, Clarkson and Randle would be making around $16 mil combined. And I think both teams have cap space.
Id have more confidence in Rob than Magic, some of Magic tweet in past in regards to college and pro players are very scary, if it were up to him he might offer up the top 3 pick for okafor lol
My bet is that it takes our Top3 + one of (Russell, Randle or Ingram) + one other player to get PG13. I personally hope that Ingram is the last one the Lakers consider trading, but if it's him or PG13, I'm taking Mr. George.
Him or PG is hardly debatable. But him + Top 3 and one other decent piece say JC, is another story. Under normal trade circumstances, it would sound fair but since we have "leverage", it would appear we're doing the Pacers a favor. Sent from my E6533 using Tapatalk
My prediction: We offer Randle+Clarkson+Hou 1st as a start. Indiana will counter they want one of Ingram or Russell. Magic and Rob probably consider Ingram with the higher ceiling. Will offer Russell only if they take Deng, will include the Hou 1st. Indy will counter for the Top 3 pick. We play hardball until they settle for Nance Jr. for a throw in. We get PG, we keep Ingram, Randle, and the Top 3 (if we keep it). And we move on.
