    lebron's a cyborg. very few small guards last past their early thirties. stockton's a notable exception, but he was super strong.

    anyway, i'm not going to keep repeating myself regarding team building strategies.

    Its not nonsensical in the situation we're in.

    That thunder team you're talking about reaffirms what I'm saying. They drafted well, and developed their talent... but then f***ed away all those assets by mismanagement of the CBA and making bad trades... But... they had the assets in the first place because they drafted well and developed their youth.

    We aren't a few pieces, or an injury to the other team away from contending. We're a few pieces and a few years away at best simply because our roster is so young, and because of the way the CBA is structured, we can't just sign free agents at our whim. Developing our youth is the best way to move into contention, and waiting on them to develop is necessary to that strategy.

    Were simply not going to be ale to trade our way into contention from where we are IMO.

    LeBron is not the bench mark for most players careers.

    33-34 is absolutely on the other side of most players prime, where they start their decline. But just in general, you need to reevaluate what you said here. The Warriors window will not last 7-8 years.

    In 8 years:

    Curry= 37
    Durrant= 36
    Green= 35
    Thompson= 35

    That team is old, and they won't be any threat. That's if they can even figure out how to keep that core roster together.

    Say we stay @3 and no pg13 trade, how do we feel bout jj/ingram @ 2/3, while finding something of value for a pkg of jc/moz/hous 1st? Something like that to Orl for Biyombo/orl 2nd? Use jc $ to offer Bogdonovic (was pf, they cant possibly match anything 10+mill due to porters ext)
    Dlo/ennis/orl 2nd
    Jj/nwaba/brewer
    Ingram/nance
    Randle/bog
    Biyomo/zu/trob
    Stretch Dung in 18' if Pg 13 says hes coming, or attach dung/jj for late lotto pick in 18 since we lose our 18 pick....move randle later next season

    eh, i could totally see the lakers emptying the cupboard, ending up with two all stars and shedding enough of mozdeng to chase another in the near future. that's enough to leapfrog all but about three teams in the league. is it likely? no. but it's probably more likely than putting together a draft haul like okc's or gs's.

    I think if a legit shot to bring in multiple all stars presents itself we will do it. Just unlike the previous regime, Magic and co are at least smart enough to pump up the young guys instead of ripping on their mistakes every week.

    Stockton also had enormous hands. That's a "skill" that doesn't go away.

    [IMG]Please don't blame me for the derailment. I merely mentioned Stockton's handsize being an important part of his long-gevity.

    We know where you were going though .... baiting OX like that. Bunch of preverts on LB. Should have had to special register and wear ankle trackers.

    Honestly, when I first said it, I was actually meaning to point out that his large hands gave him an advantage at pg that wouldn't decline with age since that was the course of the conversation. I mean, I'm not naive and I knew someone would probably take it there. But when I made it, I was making a legitimate comment.
